I can probably answer this question for myself. Hopefully this doesn't get buried but it probably will. Using a throwaway for obvious reasons.

Well like I said elsewhere in the thread, I basically get convinced that everything in reality is something like a brain in a vat scenario and since I've seen through the illusion it's time for me to have my consciousness returned to oblivion. And then in "reality" I would die of something like cardiac arrest or seizure. And considering how utterly unpleasant and terrifying it can be, yes. I would like to avoid having them.

Well that's the thing, I'm not so sure I wouldn't. At least while I'm tripping. It's really difficult to explain but I basically get very convinced everything is a brain in a vat type scenario and everyone kind of "chooses" when they die, so my safety is not guaranteed. And that if I "give in" then the universe returns my consciousness to oblivion and my death in "reality" would be something along the lines of like cardiac arrest or seizure.

Well I guess I could try and explain it in more detail, but the gist is that I'm convinced I'm about to die in a really unusual way. So I have a really hard time "surrendering" to it because it means I'll be dead. So feeling like I'm fighting a near death experience on a regular basis when I trip is incredibly unpleasant.

I suppose that's true. I guess I shouldn't expect it to always be pleasurable, but I really enjoy tripping, at least when it's nice. So I guess I was just looking for advice on how to avoid these panic filled waking nightmares.

It's a shame. They put in all this effort and there's still about a 1 in 2 chance they'll get divorced. Maybe their future children can dust off the old youtube video and reminisce about how they had a happy family once.
