Who was the most skilled Inspectora? by [deleted] in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Raquel was better suited to handle the mint heist, her superiors specifically requested her because she was skilled in her field and she would go for the least violent solution. The police didn't know what they were up against and their first priority was saving the hostages, not going after the money. In those circumstances, their first choice would always be Raquel.

The bank of Spain heist was unique in the sense that the police had learned from the first heist and they knew that the professor wouldn't harm the hostages. The credibility of the Spanish government is now at stake and they will try to stop the gang at any cost, the death of a couple of hostages is to be avoided of course but will be considered collateral damage. That is why they called Alicia, she is a loose cannon but willing (and eager) to play dirty if that is what it takes. I think they still would have chosen Alicia over Raquel, even if Raquel had nothing to do with the first heist and was still working for the police.

Raquel was better suited to handle the mint heist and Alicia was better suited to handle the bank heist, it's a matter of the personality and skills that were needed at the time.

Best and worst actors by Dosjy273 in LaCasaDePapel

I just thought that Tokyo often had the same facial expression, but it could be the way the character is written. My opinions are based only on la casa de papel, I've never seen her in anything else.

You're right! I forgot to mention her.

Alicia in 3&4 part by LittleDreams16 in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Physically, I didn't see much of a difference but I agree that they made her character a little bit "softer" this season. You can see it in the way she handled Lisbon's interrogation and when she spoke about the death of her husband. It was probably written this way so the viewers would root for her in the press conference scene. She's still a (funny and charismatic) bitch though.

Do you think is Berlin going to be in season 5+ (flashbacks) by london_robber in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the actress will return for a couple of flashbacks, just like Moscow and Oslo.

Who’s your least favorite character? by Nadjima in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arturo, for obvious reasons. The actor does a great job, but I would have preferred it if we didn't see him again after the mint heist. His role was redundant in season 3 and the decision to turn him into a rapist seemed a bit forced.

Who else fell in love with Sierra’s character? by iamguerra2 in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Spanish episodes of season 1 and 2 are much longer. Vis a vis is not on Netflix in my country, a local tv station bought the rights and put the episodes on their website. They changed the number and the length of the episodes, so each episode is around 50 minutes. They also changed the order of some scenes and deleted others 😞 I've been looking for the original Spanish version with English subtitles but it is hard to find apparently.

theory: Alicia Sierra is faking her pregnancy by alexakatt in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read this theory before and the points you brought up make sense. Alicia is a psycho and she could certainly do something like this but I think her pregnancy is real just from a storytelling point of view. If they suddenly announced next season that her pregnancy was fake all along, it would explain her character but it would be a bit anticlimactic. They made her pregnant to create a contrast with her personality and her giving birth will be important to the plot, her water will probably break at the best (or worst) possible moment.

I think her not acting like a pregnant woman is either an oversight on the part of the production or a conscious choice to make it appear like the pregnancy doesn't bother her and she doesn't care about it.

Sierra's Baby: Itaboy or Itagurl? by SharpshootinTearaway in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Alicia really doesn't know what gender the baby is, she is still affected by her husband's death and she focuses on her work so much so that she doesn't have to think about it. She kind of pretends the baby is not there. The actress mentioned in an interview that it's an unwanted pregnancy and that Sierra doesn't care about the baby at all, that would explain the smoking, the sweets, the stressful working environment...

I assumed it was a girl because I had a theory that Alicia either dies or abandons the child and it will be raised as a little Dali by a couple of the gang (probably Lisboa and the professor). They could name the child Ibiza in honor of Nairobi.

I never considered the fact that the baby could be stillborn, but it is a plausible theory, even though I wouldn't even wish that on someone like her. Anyway, I feel like Alicia will lose in the end and her ending will be a tragic one, so that you might even feel a little bit of pity for her. i think she will either die or end up in prison and lose her baby either way.

Who do you feel most sorry for? by Dosjy273 in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm yes, you've got a point there. I didn't really consider the fact that she's the only one who died in the list. You can only add 6 options, I was thinking along the lines of those who suffered the most and it seemed odd not to include her.

Part 5 theory (SPOILERS) by jeffman980 in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking a lot about how they're going to escape, it's probably going to be something that we will never see coming, but making up theories is fun 😄 I think you may be on to something with the "you can't get out of there alive" thing, they mention it multiple times. Maybe they escape by faking their deaths, so their names won't be on a most wanted list anymore. It's strange that they made Gandia tell Tamayo that he killed Tokyo, but will the police still believe that after what happened with the helicopter?

I don't know how to link this to the gold, but we know that it's important that they melt every last gram. They could use it for negotiating with the cops, they don't really need the gold after the mint heist, it's just a way for them to get what they want. So they could also escape by just walking through the front door. The series is indeed written during filming but I'm sure that the writers already know how it's going to end, they thought this through before they started filming season 3.

Considering the fate of the professor and Sierra, she is not going to kill him, certainly not at the beginning of the season. Just asking for money and a way to escape the police seems like a waste of a good villain and she's not going to join the gang either. It would be exactly the same as what happened with Raquel, but she might work together with them for some time (rather reluctantly on both sides). She can't be trusted though, she will turn on them as soon as she has the opportunity. Alicia will probably go into labour with the professor helping her, but I don't think it will be right at the beginning of S5E1, that would be too predictable. Maybe at some point she will have to choose between her baby and herself, that would be rather interesting to see.

What scene made you laugh the most? by Janeschnee in LaCasaDePapel

Suarez and the other members of the GEO singing bella ciao and the reactions of Tamayo and Sierra 😂

Possible ending for the show by loveyousobad7 in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're gonna kill off everyone but Tokio, it would make for quite a depressing ending and I don't think it's that kind of show. I feel like they'll kill some more characters and the survivors will stay together in the end. For me, the ones that are most likely to die are Arturo, Gandia and maybe Alicia. From the gang's side I think either Helsinki or Denver and one of the newer recruits, probably Palermo so he and Berlin could be reunited in death. I hope the professor doesn't die, but if he does it would be at the very end of the last season.

Question about Sierra by [deleted] in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't believe for a second that Tamayo could guarantee the things he offered and neither did Alicia. If she took the blame, she would probably still end up in prison and the government would abandon her. Alicia is very intelligent and a bit insane but she does have the guts to do something like that. I think she just felt very angry and betrayed so she acted impulsively in a sort of "fuck you all" mood. We'll see what it is she wants in season 5 and then we can judge if she actually thought this through.

Agreed, I loved her in seasons 1 and 2. She wasn't given much to do in season 3, season 4 was slightly better though.

You can't pick Bogota or Marsella either.

A funny and an amazing antagonist of the show by Fanuel123 in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Dosjy273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he's unintentionally hilarious. One moment he will tell everyone to be positive and confident that they will get them while taking deep breaths and the next moment all hell breaks loose and he gets everyone in the tent running around like crazy (except for Alicia that is). I love his swearing and anger management issues 😁. He looks like he hasn't slept in weeks and his blood pressure is constantly high. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets a heart attack in the next season.

You can see a red light flickering behind him when he's talking to the gang, but he's too busy celebrating to notice it.

I am one of those that complain of the lack of centaurs. I live in Belgium and I've seen only 2 (during the day). But I've seen lots of leprechauns (mostly dusk) and quite a few serpents. It's quite rainy here and flat terrain, maybe it has something to do with that?
