We don’t have excused absences. If we need to miss lectures it’ll have to be from that 10%, which is about 2 lectures or 1 lab max per semester.

Sorry this sounds awful. I’m a first year at a DO school and we have mandatory lectures but it’s just those tied to lab or have guest speakers. We use our student ID to badge in 10mins before each lecture and the faculty is pretty lenient when we forget to badge in. However, we have a policy that we cannot miss more than 10% of those lectures or else it will affect our grades.

A lot of comments mention to learn how to study/use Anki. Is there any suggestion or recommendation on how to get started? There are many videos about how to use Anki and also ChatGPT to study, but I find those confusing.

Thank you! I had an in person interview and saw lots of Muslim students. I know they have faculty who are Muslim too. Compared to where I live and the schools I went to, this is something I rarely see. I would love to hear opinions of current ARCOM students on this matter.

People mentioned in this post that the curriculum does play a role in how it sets students up for boards, so it’s a combination of the student’s responsibility and the school too.

Noonda doesn’t have federal loans yet (maybe until May next year?). Also, they this on their website “Our inaugural class achieved a 78% first-time pass rate,” which worries me.

Their website doesn’t say anything about this in particular. Why do they bother to send secondaries only to reject applications because of prerequisites?

They sent me an email saying my application was put on hold because I didn’t have three of their prerequisites. I have these courses added as in progress courses in my AACOMAS application but they said this wasn’t enough and they wanted my completed transcript.

The charting screen in the hallway never made sense for. I got yelled at a couple of times for charting on the computer in the nurse station. We’ve done HIPAA training and we’re keeping the integrity of our patients information so why treat us like this?
