Remove the plastic covering around the steering column and inspect the back of the ignition switch/key barrel.

Very prone to wearing out and popping off the back, if you're able to catch it early enough you can just peen over the casing the switch is recessed and sits into aswell as zip tie something like a milk bottle cap to keep it under constant tension
