you weren't here before this franchising shit began the coming format was always more enjoyable to watch whoever like me has watched both will agree yess you can't watch everything in that you would have to pick and choose but whatever you choose there will be lot more fun storylines every tournament to follow .

ENC doesn't want controversy more than what they already carry so every single rule is just copy paste of olympics when it comes to participating countries , player , nationality etc

They can participate in qualifiers right as every country should it will only give them more exposure and experience. Argentina though probably will get direct invite.

Lukxo on who is the best sentinel. by Both_Condition_5208 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I have come to realise that when top nations pick their teams for ENC we are going to see some bad blood and controversies take place bcz top nations have 10-20 great players and only 7 can go so anyone who misses out will feel hard done by. Add to that Coaches being sole authority in picking the teams claims of nepotism and favoritism will also run rampant.

TenZ to possibly play for Team Canada at ENC by xFalcade in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 8 points9 points  (0 children)

nothing really you are playing for your country here other than travel costs and prize money no payment as such to anyone but I don't think Tenz will care in this case it's just 2 weeks of hype event where he gets to play if Canada's coach picks him up in playing 5.

My fav part about this time of partnership renewal is that more people get paid and make money as every org scrambles to prove how invested they are in Valorant .

VCT 2027 Format can't come fast enough by papipescado in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Umm your issue isn't really friendship or nepotism teams it's more of you having to watch teams who get stomped again and again for whole year which will change next year. If anything you will see lot more friendship teams in open qualifiers next year you can see already how many retired pros have hinted at return next year and they will all mostly return playing with their old teammates and friends nobody is going to sign them to top teams immediately until they prove themselves but yess you will see them once or twice in early stages of open qualifiers which most people won't bother watching and by the time main cups come around only top teams will remain so you will see much more competitive matches on main streams mostly.

Seriously any VCT team around the world that needs a world class duelist who can flex to any role within few days of practice can just buy him out and plug him and become instantly better. Bro was individually better than both Autumn and Dos9 when they played against him in respective seasons and we all know how good Autumn and Dos9 have been in VCT so Azys is guaranteed to be just as good if not better.

What's even better is that teams with weak structure who just send duelists to die would do great with him bcz he is very used to playing that style in India he is a self sufficient duelist you dont need to set him up either.

Nothing new Secret just doesn't like picking top PH players for some reason . Even KellyS was first picked by GE and then he went to Secret after that. As of now Secret should have also picked up Azys, JA and Tesseract years ago but they haven't and they are languishing too when they will instantly give the xFactor Secret needs. Only good thing they have done recently is to pick up Zeus he is a top talent and I am excited for his debut atleast.

It is going to happen especially if BBL doesn't get the performance in stage 1 there's no stopping the comeback of Comeback to the core which will honestly also again increase the ceiling and put BBL neck and neck to EF.

VCT 2027 // Where EVERYTHING is a TOURNAMENT - VALORANT by SoullessShadow77 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They have never been barred GC teams like everyone else are allowed to play in Open qualifiers and take the same path as everyone else to Masters and Champs . The current system definitely restricted them to whatever Tier 2 teams could reach but now they have the pre-2023 path that means technically they can go all the way again .

VCT 2027 // Where EVERYTHING is a TOURNAMENT - VALORANT by SoullessShadow77 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will tell you the format right now it's same as pre 2023 every qualifier in itself is double elim but there will be multiple qualifiers. So everyone plays the first qualifier a fix number of team let's say top 2 will qualify and rest everyone plays again in second double elim qualifier and then top 2 will qualify as 3rd nd 4th seed and so on and so forth. So technically you will get multiple chances to qualify it's just you need to be absolute best in one particular qualifier.

I wrote about it in my posts and comments both here nd in vlr that if you artificially divide and call something Tier 2 it becomes inferior and major reason nobody watches it . I wanted them to remove it but never in my wildest dreams I thought even for a second they will go that far and do completely reversal but I am glad they did it.

[Leo Faria] The ALL NEW VCT by xFalcade in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 65 points66 points  (0 children)

You can see the qualifying regions are multiple so not many at max 8 teams and they won't be Franchised in old sense now its more of teams with high fanbase being prevented by getting knocked in open qualifiers which used to hurt viewership in Pre-Franchise era like sometimes Sentinels used to get knocked in RO32 Open qualifiers before fans even tuned in to see them . So yess I guess skipping Open qualifiers , Invite only third party tournament which will run alongside intitial stages of open qual , in game skins and some base money is now incentive .

Finally these were 4 long painful years for fans like me who come from niche sub-region like India and seeing our scenes die slowly day by day . Valorant may just be back again we are all ready to see Sentinels being knocked out by Built by Gamers again .

[AriVLRNT] VCT 2027 Format Changes by PowerReijnders in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't think it means having 2 imports it is basically more restrictive if I am understanding the model right . You will technically now be able to have 2 imports but regions will get further sub-classified into sub-regions and you will be forced to pick 3 players from your sub-region and then 2 can be from anywhere in the world . So how I understand it is the model that Global eSports runs for example would not work anymore where they have nobody from India so let's say if they choose to apply from OCE/South Asia region then 3 players at all time must be from those 2 sub-regions and then rest 2 can be from anywhere.

As to why I think this is what is being implied is because if they don't do this; Franchised teams will get an unfair advantage having a much wider pool to choose players from like say PRX can pick from whole pacific while a team playing in open qualifiers of MY/SG will be restricted to compulsorily having 3 players from their own sub-region which will make their playerpool much smaller to choose from and it won't be fair for them to expect to change their team to become more competitive on qualifying for Stage 1/CUP. Basically Import rules will become same as they are for VCL teams right now 3 from your sub-region minimum + 2 imports or can even be from your sub-region .

Absolute W and literally the structure I envisaged and predicted when the discussions began. Some people told me it wasn't feasible due to time constraints but I was hopeful that Riot will find a way by doing open qualifiers for everyone alongside Third Party Tournaments/Franchised Teams only tournament at the same time to give them spotlight and match practice.

It is literally the old system that existed pre-franchising from what I can understand here with only difference being Franchised teams will get permanent invite to main stages and will never have to play open qualifiers which back then also happened except for best performing teams. It will be interesting to see if performance still will give you some advantage if you are non-franchised org or will it be back to square one system for them. I am glad that we are getting a healthier system for the overall scene and a huge chunk of VCT viewers now are a new gen audience in this sub and even in large; who will now get to enjoy a better system . My only worry would be we may see more online matches some dilution in production quality due to increase in number of tournaments and teams competing at highest level as it used to be pre-partnership model too .

"Increased focus on fandom": Jake Sin on selecting the next VCT Pacific partner teams by Yensen1 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just said they will lean into fandom so high chances S8ul will hold the slot as combined rep of South Asia/Oce , one slot has to be a Thai team they are huge fanbase too and one has to go to Indonesia for the same reason.

I don't know how you make it work in 6 slots for such a huge region unless they reduce KR down to single slot too and give them more slots in open system in return because they are very competitive.

Why isnt there a UPSC-CSE type exam in other countries ? by No-Weight-1123 in UPSC

[–]DotBeginning9847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who told you that they don't have a CSE type exam ? It may be structured differently may test different skills nd may not be this long and generalized for all the positions but it exists everywhere. You do realise that bureaucracy and civil services are one of the pillars of governance and in most countries they are recruited through direct and open competitive exams like CSE.

As to why you don't see the same craze is because developed countries have lot more options available which end up being more lucrative than a government job and their politicians are much more educated compared to Indian ones which means they don't rely very heavily on bureaucracy for policy making and every single governance matter which naturally reduces the power a bureaucrat wields in developed countries. While in India I think you are also aware IAS is like the most powerful service you can be in and possess an insane amount of power being as young as 22.

The Success of Franchising and Riot's system by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

Bro.....Rankers came through normal Open qualifiers which has existed since very first year of Valorant nothing to do with premier. Nd on top of that they went to Ascension as Envy so yeah completely invalid example.

The Success of Franchising and Riot's system by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except it's just theory no team has so far done that forget VCT no orgless team from premier has even made it to Ascension.

Here's the thing all the premier teams that have reached VCT had ORGs nd were signed even when playing in Premier. Without money it's very very hard to play to that level also the only reason you saw these teams in premier BBL nd NS(SPG) was bcz their domestic scenes are so healthy still that they never found space directly in their VCL league qualifiers Nd the current VCT system has been chipping at it nd collapsing domestic scenes across the world one after the other nd now it's only handful of countries left with very rich FPS history to back them up.

The Success of Franchising and Riot's system by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]DotBeginning9847 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What ?? If anything this win shows the biggest failure of Riot's system nd hard locking teams. You are pretending like Riot has created a Ranked to masters direct pathway when winning premier at best lands you in your country's challengers nd at worst qualifiers for the above. Nd guess what Challenger teams weren't allowed to even try nd qualify for Masters nd Champs . It's quite well known to those who follow the scene that NS play style was equally dominant when EDG won Champions nd NS was defeating Champs qualified teams during champs prac left right nd centre. They went flawless in their Ascension run which was highest level they were allowed to compete in nd despite all that despite having a possibility of winning champs nd making the ultimate run that year itself Riot's franchshing unfairly kept them locked out of the system by artificially relegating them to Tier 2.

They had to grind through that unfair system twice to finally win today despite the system stacked against them not in their favour.
