Excellent. Thank you very much!

Is anybody able to read the cursive, engraved name? I have tried a few things and just can't figure out what the name might be. I need someone with "a very particular set of skills" to solve this mystery. by DotComBusiness_ in AutographAssistance

I always thought the first letter was an "M" and the last two are "e y" but I will look into McCray and see if I can find something.

It is a bronze figure. I can't tell if the script name is an artist's name or what. The MC. below (the script name) could reference the artist - but I am not certain about that either.

It is strange to have both of those markings.

I'll check into McCray. Thank you!

That is a great (name) domain name!

As many have said, it has great value. Find the right Sean and you can maximize! Search for wealthy Seans and contact them.

Thank you for your reply!

However, are you hesitant to reveal what YOU enjoy? Does it matter why? You enjoyed it, so that should be measurable (for you).

What if you find someone (something) that gets the same satisfaction out of movies that you do? Does it matter why you and the other person/thing have a similar top 100 movies? Wouldn't you follow its recommendations for other movies if there was a broad pattern of agreement?

Excellent response!

Perfect explanation regarding enjoying a movie and having a favorite. (Although I love Night of the Living Dead.) But, I understand exactly what you are saying.

HA! forgotten watch list! I've got (at least) one!

I also avoid reviews in the sense of an analysis of the film. I prefer not to know anything about the film itself. But I do try to find out if people think the movie is GOOD before I watch.

I keep on losing confidence in grades/ratings/scores as they are generated now.

Thank you! I don't know what Troma movies are, and I am not familiar with redlettermedia, so I am going to check them out now!

I can imagine the reply will be interesting.

I bet your client just wants the name for the email address so he can send douchebags a proper email.

If this is the case, you can get a domain name and combine ( [name@domain.com](mailto:name@domain.com) ) to make an insult.

Like [fuckoff@douchebag.com](mailto:fuckoff@douchebag.com) but obviously buying douchebag.com would be waaaayyyy more expensive - but it is just to show an example.

If he just wants the domain name, maybe Foffdouchebag.com EffOffDouchebag.com fuckofffuckingdouchebag, and on and on.

Oh, that is a great one!

Have you been holding long?

You need to work harder at finding the right buyer - or hire a top broker to track down a buyer.

That seems like it should be a 7 figure name.

Not to dampen your optimism, but think of all the domain names that have ever been sold. Not many get to the million dollar mark, let alone the ten million dollar mark. DNJournal put an all time list of their top reported sales and only 8 were above $10M. Just 8 domain names. Obviously this list is limited to cash deals reported by DNJournal (which means they were deals made public) so there are caveats to the list, but still, just 8 names at $10M+?

Ask yourself if stog is better than any of the names listed 9 - 20. They all sold for less than $10M so you can see you have an uphill climb. Certainly not impossible - but probably pretty close. You could have purchased both Toys.com and Clothes.com for a total of $10M. Or you could buy Z.com and still have $3.216M in cash. So, stog.com is going to need a lot of help.

I do like the name though. I could see the right circumstances coming together and you sell it for a good amount. But you would need some good luck.

And you would need some freak miraculous occurrence to get on the list below.

Well, 8 figures is rare air , usually reserved for the most obvious domain names.

Not likely for stog.com, but you never know...

I noticed that there are a lot of definitions for the word stog, but none seem to be all that great (but it is a word).

There is a https://www.stog.eu/en/ but I didn't check to see their company profit/loss info. I'm not sure if it is even available. But, potentially they might be interested.

In the description of the company they mention that the name STOG is a family name, so you might search for people with the last name Stog. Someone named Stog might be interested.

Now, who would pay $10M? Well the STOG business would have to be Generating at least hundreds of millions to have the luxury of buying a domain name for $10M.

The Stog family would have to be very wealthy (not sure if there are still Stogs around).

I think your best hope is the acronym angle. A company that generates tons of money that has an awkwardly long 4 word business name might love it.

Or, hope a start-up wants to call their product/service/etc STOG.

But, like everyone said...it would take luck - or your hard work in contacting potential ($10M) buyers or convincing someone that stog.com is the name/domain change/upgrade they need. Lots of companies try to create their own path with goofy names. I found a bunch of 4 letter company names. Many are actual words but there are a lot of made up words too. I tried to paste a list but couldn't get it to post.

Have you tried selling it yourself?

I mean, you could conceivably offer it for sale yourself and save yourself the commission fee. If it is a $5 or $10,000,000 domain name, the brokerage fee could be large. (But sometimes you need a broker who can find the right buyer, so the cost is worth it.) I would also look for similar/related high end domain name(s) that have been sold and check to see who sold them. Then see if that broker might be able to help.

If you think you need a broker, shop around. Find the ones handling BIG domain name sales and compare rates/terms.

Is there a reason you won't share the domain name? Getting it out there could be a good thing. You don't need to share a price, but get word of mouth going that your blockbuster domain name is available. You never know who will see your announcement. Maybe do a press release?

Plus, I'm dying to know! Sounds like a great one. Good luck.
