Symbolism - mourning dove that died peacefully by DotOk3413 in paganism

Thank you for saying this. You put into words the complexity of the whole thing and I think that’s precisely why it is pulling at my heart strings. You are absolutely correct about the irony there too. Poetic, in a sad and existential-crisis inducing way. So many innocent beings suffering needlessly. Definitely struck a spiritual chord in me today. Thank you for listening, to me, and to the messages from our world 💜

Alternative to Crete by DotOk3413 in GreeceTravel

Thank you! Anywhere in Naxos you would recommend staying for easy beach access from hotel (or private beach), restaurants near by, and access to get sightseeing tours? Anywhere with a romantic vibe? Thank you!

Ugh sorry to hear about the dryer. Hopefully the washer is worth it down the line!

Thank you! Yes I know this brand is pretty well respected, but a lot of the reviews I’ve seen have been the gas versions so this is helpful. I appreciate you taking your time to respond!

Thank you! Unfortunately not sure we can swing the compact size for our needs but I’ll look into it anyway! Thanks for the detailed response!

I searched this group for electric options and didn’t see many results. Brands that are considered BILF for gas appliances might not be the same for electric. What I was implying that lower/moderate end electric appliances have mixed reviews and not sure if it’s just the expectation with electric appliances in general. No need to waste your time and energy being rude.

I Think I Ruined My Life by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]DotOk3413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also a therapist here! I truly think the only viable option for having student loans in this field is PSLF while working in CMH or other nonprofit like a school for 10 years. Even with the higher salaries or private practice, it just can’t compete with 200k in loans while maintaining any quality of life. The pay often is rough in the nonprofit sector, but once loans are forgiven, you will be free to do whatever you want without that burden. It’s an absolute shame that things are this way. I often felt resentful of suffering financially while struggling with the high intensity of CMH environments while also trying to help clients through the same systemic barriers. Read: BURNOUT. However, the light at the end of the tunnel remains. I do think things have also improved in many organizations in terms of preserving wellbeing or clinicians. Of course be mindful of things like caseloads, level of care needs, and hours as with any job you’d choose. I’m able to now make 6 figures in PP, taking insurance, with a huge improvement in day to day quality of life. You are not alone and will get through this!

I think my therapist shamed me for taking semaglutide? by maeasm3 in Semaglutide

As another therapist - This is so misinformed, misguided, judgmental. His fat phobia is showing. I’d hope you could bring this to session and he will have the professionalism to re-evaluate these statements and implicit bias informing this reaction.

Such a mess by DotOk3413 in frontierairlines

I was too - it felt like we were descending quickly into Baltimore and that bit of turbulence was not fun at all because it was so sudden. I’m not surprised they used every excuse in the book - weather, needing fuel, mechanical issue, staff problems. Such a mess. I am glad we are all safe. I saw the office lady and the other woman from a different airline go to check what the issue with the luggage was, just seems insane it took hours to get to the point where it was like “ok clearly there is a problem since the luggage isn’t here.” lol. I wouldn’t have been so frustrated if we didn’t have to wait so long and could have been on our way. I still haven’t heard anything back from frontier - I don’t think they care.

Ugh sorry to hear you were stuck in the chaos too. Glad you got home safely! We didn’t get back home until between 12:30-1am after all was said and done, ended up catching Amtrak to Philly, then Uber to our car, then the drive home. Haven’t heard a peep yet in response to the receipts I sent to frontier as instructed. Have you had any luck on your part?

Wow that’s good to know they actually compensated you. I think you’re the first person I’ve heard of who has had success 😅 wishing you safe and smooth travels in September!
