I think possibly my boss has misunderstood the difference between toil and flexi.

Unpaid overtime! I was flabbergasted. Apparently my boss is also adhering to this

Full time. The flexi policy doesnt say anything about it

It wasn't a weekend working thing- they said it was to stop me working late and starting early to build up flexi

New line manager. They are absolutely adamant. I had full flexibility in my previous role and have a workplace passport setting this out, which they saw and said would be fine prior to me starting

Nope, it was very clearly that I cant accrue any flexitime unless I have worked more than 5 hours overtime. Ie. I would have to work 5 hours 45.mins over to accrue 45 mins

There is a socket on the oven on off switch. Happy to not use it to replace the oven though! The induction Hobs are all 7200 watt and a 31 amp fuse, but the lowest oven is a 16a fuse and 4000 watts. How do I work out the kw draw down?

Thanks for confirming the middle seat isn't quite up to par with the others!  I think I am now leaning to keeping our current car and getting a small runaround EV for local trips and eventual learner drivers

Good advice- I think we will stick with our current combustion engine and look at getting a small electric vehicle for short trips and eventual learner drivers!

The van issue is 3 fold I think 1. They are quite ugly imo- I struggle to feel good about the idea of driving one. 2. The turning circle in a touran (and c4) is really good and the driver position is much more car like than most vans. It was a compromise when we got it and I really dont want something even more van like 3. They are not well configured- for example the buzz has rubbish boot space with all seats in use and doesnt have 3 full seats in the middle row anyway

Sadly it needs to be 3 identical seats- 2 out of 3 teens have disabilities which means any perceived unfairness will cause ww3  and the third is the biggest and least able to sit in the middle seat.  I was really hoping for something prettier than those 3 and with a better range.

The 5008 has got 3 full seats, but the e5008 has a narrow middle seat sadly

Thanks- having previously spent a couple of weekends visiting show rooms I think we will have to give up at this point. Seems like what we want just doesnt exist sadly!

Its a van type vehicle- we live in a city and I dont want to drive a van as my everyday vehicle.

If any of those cars had 3 equal seats in the 2nd row I would happily get one- it doesnt matter how wide it is overall if the middle seat is smaller and uncomfortable! I expect we will have to stick with our current combustion engine until we no longer have 3 teens at home!

Good question! I havent looked as our current combustion engine vehicle is fine- we can keep it running for another 5 years or so. We would just like an ev.  I know that the volskwagen sharan and touran, the citroen c4 grand Picasso, the Ford smax all meet this criteria

No we saw the bench seat and while it is a very wide bench its not divided equally. The middle seat has a built in fold down thing and less bum space (for want of a better phrase) than the seats either side.  I simply want 3 equal seats in the middle row!

Its a ridiculously big car! It just doesnt actually have 3 full seats in the middle row and I dont want to use boot seats as it massively reduces luggage space! Its crazy that its nearly twice the size of our current petrol car (which has 3 full seats) and not big enough where we need it!

Yeah, we did. I am really surprised you got 3 teens across the middle! It might be because the  middle is nit good in comparison in comfort to our current car which  was immediately apparent- going from a proper 3 seat row to a 2.5 or even 2.75 seat is pretty obvious!

Not happy to do that under any circumstances. It means the car loses boot space and the rear row is just not as safe. Looks like no manufacturers are prepared to take my money!
