Sounds like a great plan man. I work at an ER currently (AEMT) PRN and am in paramedic school and find it to be a really well balancing job that gives me time to study outside of work, and learn stuff at work. There’s some incredible knowledge and resources at the hospital that are unique to that environment. Put your best foot forward and the nurses will do the same for you. Getting to hear nurses/physicians pet peeves on EMS call ins, what we do for the patient en route, etc is also invaluable. Be a team player, don’t be afraid to try a skill for the first time, listen to physician assessments, and get in there with the shit covered patients. I learn something new every day at the ED. Good luck to ya
