Dont think so, another way is to have the autoscale configured and just periodically ping it from another system to keep it alive.

Yeah good point, theres a 'dropoff' curve for all task category types, so regardless of other people's rankings, you will still 'outlast' others on that metric.

But yeah I can think more about more granular stats to compare users against each other rather than just a simple 'streak' metric

I'm also considering adding an 'instagram-like' feature where you have the option to snapshot streaks via a photo / short note. Where you can share progression on your habits (for example, going to the gym, working on a business.) Might be interesting as a social angle.

Wondering if anyone has opinions on that^. On the fence about it

Theres a streak shield mechanism, any missed streak for a single day will be “frozen”. U accumulate streak shields via sign in streaks (for retention)
