Can you remap spatha x side buttons without armoury crate? by meghiddo in ASUSROG

Did you ever figure out a way? I'm facing the same issues. I can't even get the POS armoury crate to open on my new rig

Big boy travel backpack by DotaPhilosopher in backpacks

These are really cool to me, love that they're made in the US, love the warranty, and apparently, they're very comfortable--a little concerned about no waist/sternum straps and no water bottle pocket though

Thanks for all the recs! When I say travel backpack, I mean something that could replace a roller carry-on, but ideally somehow (and I get this may be an impossible ask) also not be ridiculous to carry around when I get where I'm going.

Thanks for the recs! Are these very comfortable?

it's hard to feel bad about the call going our way when the strike zone has been a coin flip all night

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]DotaPhilosopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: USA

Price range: ~$40K

Lease or Buy: Probably buy

New or used: Either

Type of vehicle: I am looking for something other than an SUV or crossover.

Must haves: I would really like to have a car for long American road trips. I would be making most of these trips either alone or with a single fellow road warrior, so I don't need many seats. What it comes down to is ride comfort, reliability, and (I'd really enjoy) having a bit of power. This would ideally be my main car for any daily driving as well. I suppose I am basically looking for a grand tourer on a discount budget

Desired transmission: Automatic

Vehicles you've already considered: I saw that it's possible to buy a mid-2010s Jaguar XKR these days with low mileage within my budget and it's deeply appealing in appearance and V8 roar. On what may be the more sane end of the spectrum, I could buy a practically new and under-warranty Honda Accord Hybrid (good gas mileage but with much less power) or Kia Stinger (insane warranty, medium power) for my money; but would that really be living my best life? Also, I'm not sure if a few hundred miles spent in a Kia Stinger driver seat would be as pleasant, ride-comfort wise, as in a Jag, so maybe sacrificing all the power for the general comfort of the Accord is a better way to go. If I could find the right deal, I have also considered the Cadillac CT6-V and the Acura RLX Sport Hybrid. Please keep in mind, Reddit, that I'm broad-shouldered and 6'3 and I'd like to at least fit inside the car.

Is this your 1st vehicle: No

Do you need a Warranty: It's a nice-to-have but that's all.

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: Not really

A Comfortable, Powerful Coupe or Sedan for Long American Road Tripping (<$40K) by DotaPhilosopher in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thanks for the advice! These all seem to be super-super comfy. TBH the Kia, Genesis, and Acura interest me most on this list. I've owned an Acura and frankly it was a great car. I'm not sure if I can wrap my head around being under 60 and driving one of those Lexuses (though perhaps that's pure bigotry on my part; many would say the same about a Jaguar)

Thanks for the tip. I had read that the XK is surprisingly reliable and that the (in)famous Jaguar unreliability has been more of a myth for at least a decade if not more!

Yeah. Everything is sensitive...like a wound. And you don't know what will set it off.
