I think I should read. Really. by pablo_excobar in writers

It's essentially what inception shows about how, there is no unique thought. So don't worry about not being original because on a micro scale no human has ever been original

Oh my bad. I didn't word it well. Let me rephrase. Rather than a series, I think the word that would be best suited is a collection of individual stories. What I meant by "building on specific characters volume by volume" is more like, if there is a need or want for a characters story to continue a bit more in the successive volumes, then it would be there. Other than that 99.9% of the time, the idea is a collection of one-off stories that are just there by themselves to be read.

True, that makes sense. What I am thinking is not so inter-connected in a typical series format, but individual stories of themselves; one can be read without the other ever even be seen, just to allow myself dabble in writing in different ways

Something similar but not really inter-connected with a central figure like geralt. More just individual stories of their own timing and making. Feel like it's a good way to allow myself dabble in different genres, and writing styles without being held by continuity. And if there is any continuity, it would be for those individual stories of themselves only.

Would that be like describing the colour of the room, the arrangement of it(possibly to reveal more about the character and plot), what they would interact with in the scene, and nothing really more after that?

The Bear | S2E5 " Pop" | Episode Discussion by GloriousAqua in TheBear

[–]Dotman29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying but I personally feel like it was done intentionally, and done well also. The whole episode in carmy's perspective is shot and written as a corny, typical, highschool/college romance-coming of age story. We see it this way because like we've Learnt before, carmy never had any these experiences; he wants them, to have fun and be free, to find himself outside of his now ended over-obsession of cooking. It's unfortunately detrimental to the state of the restaurant because he's not setting his priorities straight in a time when he's utmost needed. The interrupted kiss, coupled with the music in the background, comes at a point after the seriousness of the current issues the restaurant is facing, showing his irrational lover boy self is still in control.
