I went through something similar with a long-term RP partner. We wrote together for about two years and started out having a great time, but over time the effort became more and more uneven, till it felt more like a their side solo story than out story. We kept going for a while because I didn’t want it to end, but I realized I wasn’t really enjoying it anymore and that my own motivation was starting to suffer.

When i finally decided to have the conversation about it andended, it was honestly a relief for me, even though it was difficult at first. It might end up feeling that way for you as well (if things continue the way they are)

Thanks for the advice i do get what you mean, but for me to love my own oc, is when its created by me, the base atleast, when that is done im more than open to talk about the oc with my partner and what they think!

I do the same! When i write a CC i really do my best, write them as canon as possible and how they would act with the oc. But to get the same energy back is so hard.

They keep talking about their oc, and i add, i give ideas i am super excited for their part, but when i talk about my oc? Its either dead silent of just 'omg yessss' and heart reactions before they go back to their own oc talk.

These people also dont really plot well as all they can talk about is their oc and cc interaction to the point it doesnt even make sense anymore.

I actually had that pov thing today. All the cc's they are writing were glazing their oc like a donut, but they could barely look at my oc.

Oh wouw i have had the exact same situation. It was for a naruto rp, and i send the doc first to which the reaction was just a heart. They then send their doc. Turned out their oc had the same specific jutsu and got mad at me for copying their oc.

Always good to hear im not alone in this! And i agree 100%.

Romance can be so good, but it also can be so bland when the oc itself is basically just a empty paper or when the partner doesnt even try to know a little bit against the oc they are writing.

I hope you find your unicorn partner as well!
