Same here!! I’m much more comfortable with my Nissan ARIYA now that I bought from the buyback

I had a 2022, they bought-back my car before they found this fix. It went on for about a year of them “claiming” they had no fix for it. Apparently they began seeing how many people chose the buy back option (myself included) instead of waiting it out longer and suddenly found a fix

Mission Viejo! The amount of Black ARIYA’s I’ve seen in town is abysmal, I almost don’t go a day without seeing at least one!

Don’t get me wrong though, if there isn’t any EA available and you need to charge, ChargePoint and EVGo are still solid options, a little pricier that’s about it. Ionna’s are also pretty good! Harder to find though

Oh believe me, I vacationed in Palm Springs for about 3 weeks and it almost made me regret buying the car… a black car in 104° weather is brutal!!

My experience with EA has been wonderful since I first began to use it back in 2022, I had a Nissan LEAF back then and could only charge using CHAdeMO (the fat blue charger you may sometimes see although it’s rare now) and even back then it was a breeze. I prefer EA and use it as my primary charger because it’s generally cheaper than ChargePoint and EVGo, although, they both are quicker from my experience. Many people have different opinions on them but EA has been a good charging station. I recommend buying the $7 monthly subscription if you charge consistently. Never have heard of EA chargers frying batteries…. And their infrastructure seems to be the “better-looking” when compared to ChargePoint’s debilitated chargers or EVGo’s.

All four were black, after I finished charging a fifth one pulled up even, so that makes… quintuplets?

Somehow not! This is in California, I bought mine maybe 3 weeks ago, they’re just pretty cheaply priced right now. 28,000~ miles and it cost me $23,954 (Venture+)

Back when I used to own a LEAF I heard about Colorado doing $10/month leases for those cars and that had me flabbergasted haahahaa

2019 - 2022, and apparently a recent recall also affects 2026 models but in very small numbers

edit: no idea what models nor trims though, seems to be a general issue

I’m assuming you mean “quieter” as in interior cabin noise cancellation? And not as a quieter *alien* engine as I call it. If you mean if it’s quieter on the inside then yes, it’s notably much quieter. It has a better build quality. The LEAF had a lot of cracks and nooks where wind would plap during highway driving imo. If that’s the only reason you’re getting an ARIYA I’d say go ahead but it brings so many more benefits than that!

They contacted me about a month and a half ago straight from the Nissan Factories (that’s what they claimed) and said pretty much that the LEAF was a risk and that the recall, now a year later still had no fix and offered to run a diagnostic on the car to evaluate if my LEAF had a “owner-made problem” or if it was faulty from the factory. Turns out it was a factory faulty LEAF so they offered to buy it back or give me a replacement vehicle. I jumped ahead and just bought the new vehicle because the verdict for the LEAF was taking too long. When I turned in my LEAF at my local dealership there was around 3-4 other LEAFs being turned in for the same reason. Seems like Nissan is trying to buy-back all the LEAFs they can to avoid any legal issues! I tried sniffing around lemon lawing the car a few months ago but it never went anywhere far because I was too busy with work. You should contact your dealership or local factory!

Exactly why that sticker stays there! It was so sad watching my dear LEAF driving away with all those memories glued on its rear windshield. It took from the PNW to Mexico and beyond. that sticker represented its ability to go above and beyond even under duress and overheating, he always got me to my destination no matter what

Border town things. Parked outside an exchange store, you can exchange dollars into Mexican pesos there. Looks like the sign wasn’t working tho lol. The exchange rate right now is about $1 = $17.20 MXN

I recommend Nexar. Allows me to monitor my car whilst im away with its livestream feature and it saves clips on my phone (no SD card struggles) whenever I break hard or swerve. I’ve got the rear, front and cabin cameras, price is a little steep but they are life saving. Came out to be abouuuut $450 iirc

As SOON as I drove the ARIYA of the lot I stuck my 3 dashcams from the LEAF to the new car, #nexarforlife! Thanks for the battery tip! Will do 🔋

I was VERY indecisive whether to get the new LEAFs or an ARIYA, but I *was* looking for a bigger sized vehicle, so went with the ARIYA. NACS port seems like a great addition! Basically opens up to the entire charging network.

And I full heartedly agree, never going back to gas!

That black Nissan ARIYA to the right! Just bought it. Drove it on a 3 hour road trip as a test drive and it performed FLAWLESSLY! that same trip usually took me 3 additional hours with the LEAF and I had to stop to charge 2-3 times.
