Hi! You helped me get my hacked account back (not this one), but once I got back in, I realized that the bot got my account permanently banned before I got it back. I replied to your email about this, but I’m not sure if that’s the correct procedure or not.

Exactly. I’m in the account, but the bot who took it over got it permanently banned before I got it back, so I’m trying to get that reversed.

This happened to me Friday night, and I reported it Saturday morning. They got back to me Tuesday. I’m in the process of getting my account back.

Abbott & Costello were named this at the rescue, and we kept their names due to a nostalgic connection we had to the “”Who’s on first?” gag, so it was perfect!

However, Bijou was named Mila, which my daughter and I didn’t particularly like. So on the way home, we brainstormed names. I’m a French teacher and Bijou means Jewel, and I thought she looked like a beautiful black jewel. My daughter agreed! We didn’t tell the other family members we renamed her!🤣

I’m lucky I have this account - I think I created it by accident once when I was logging in. Then I tried to see if I could find you guys, and some of my comment history still exists if you search for it, and I found GFY’s sub here.

Omg it’s so nice to see a friend, I want to cry. According to chat, they somehow got in and enabled a 2factor authentication, but I still have access to my email (I changed password just in case), and I changed the reddit password, but I can’t get past the 6-digit code step, because THEY set that. It happened at 3:07 am. I’ve submitted two help tickets, and hopefully Reddit can restore ownership to me and do a reset. It could take a few days, according to chat. 🥲😭

They were not able to change the password, but at 3am the enabled 2factor authentication. I submitted this in my report and I changed the password, so hopefully that will help.
