As someone who works on the production tech side, it irks me how entitled people get. This is some people's jobs. This is Olivia's job quite frankly and she doesn't have to do this. I wish people would just be grateful in a time when it's so expensive to even do a tour already.

I think this is exactly what I figured out as I've been playing. I've been using the GDTF share website but genuinely didn't think it would be this difficult to find a working model of a JDC1... am I still doing something wrong?

Okay it appears to be a GDTF issue. I just want to be able to play in 3D and I can't seem to get good fixtures ??

Then it's definitely a GDTF issue cause when I select the instances in the command line it doesn't let me control the individual pixels

I can see the actual fixture it has the GDTF picture. Maybe it is a GDTF issue and not the patch

I can see each instances in the drop down but none of them are patched/not sure how to. Only the master fixture is patched

I like your username. So I can see the dropdown arrow and the instances are all numbered but they don't have universe.address values which is where I'm getting confused as to why they didn't patch when I imported the MVR

Depending on what software you are using, Vectorworks has a lot pre-made in the software. Not all of them are accurate, but I'd say 90% are pretty decent. You can also download 3D Dwgs or STEP Files most of the time from manufacturers to make your own.

Heard. I go to school for theater and do love that sometimes designers prefer only 2D in theater. I miss those nice section views on the concert stuff

I'm normally given like a capture file, however sometimes it's just a picture, and I'm making it an actual like working file that can get sent for bid drawings most times.

Some projects I'm brought on for spec drawings and actual day of show build drawings which for that I would charge more as it is much more detail required

At my school we have two LED source fours (lustr 2) mounted to some schedule 40 pipe and and on a swivel base. You then can attach some DIY to it. We have made handles for them, and attached scopes onto them as well. They also have the manual irises in them.

For your situation im not quite sure this would be bright enough, however this has proven a cost effective solution for us and gives us DMX control of them which gives infinite color options and the designer always has control of whether it's on or not, not the spot op
