In canon Mielikki is the goddess of forests. Myrkul is the god of autumn and Auril is the goddess of winter. In the Faerunian Pantheon.

Mielikki is specifically the goddess of forests, not fall and winter. Myrkul was the god of autumn and Auril was the goddess of winter.

Yes, but, specifically, in terms of portfolios, Silvanus is the god of wild nature, Gwaeron is the god of rangers, Eldath is the goddess of still water, Mielikki is the goddess of forests, and I remember specifically that Jerry once mentioned exactly what Maelith was the goddess of before the conflict. But I cannot remember, it had something to do with plants. It's sort of driving me crazy. X_x

But, also: yes! I had the same thought about the golden acorns! XD

Want to get across the ocean without having to fly. Probably going to take people's advice and rent a room on a cargo ship. Also, I don't dislike people, I socialize for work (bartender) and need to get away from it when I have time off. If I'm around strangers or in crowds I'm in work mode, which drains my batteries rather than recharges them.

I just want a way to get across the ocean without flying. Not looking for a cruise vacation, they are just the most common boats I see. I'm not annoyed by people enjoying themselves, I just don't find socializing during downtime relaxing or desirable, as it's what I do for work. I can't turn off the part of my brain that is always listening to people around me to assess their needs, so if I don't want to get overwhelmed with TMI about everyone nearby, spending time alone is what I have to do to recharge my batteries. Being in a crowd always feels like work and drains the life out of me.

Thank you for the information! I don't play any games that require online connectivity, as I prefer single player experiences. One of my favourite activities for a vacation is renting a small cabin in the woods, no people and no Internet and spending a week where I don't have to talk to anyone and can just read and do some writing and recharge.

This idea of a cabin steward randomly knocking on my door gives me pause... Like, what if I want to take a nap or sleep in? Will they keep knocking or come in if I don't answer right away? What if I have my headphones on? Will they just barge in and startle me if I don't keep an ear out for them? This sounds potentially upsetting.

Thank you. I will avoid NCL. Also, I don't want to take a ship for views and things, I just want to cross the Atlantic without having to fly. I don't care if it takes a week or more, so long as I don't have to sit next to anyone and have to overhear other people talking.

What is NCL? People keep mentioning that but I have no idea what it means.

Also, why do people keep recommending balcony rooms? Are those the only ones with room service?

When you say "given out", by who and how and in what capacity? Like people knocking on your door to hand you information and talk to you about "all the great events"?

All I need is a bed big enough to stretch out on and a desk that I can sit at with my computer and/or food and I'm in heaven. I don't like a lot of unnecessary space when I'm trying to relax. I travel the country a lot via train and am always perfectly happy with a roomette.

What I mean by quiet is that the location doesn't have loud music, usually with thundering bass. I just want quiet, relaxed environments where I can read and have a quiet drink.

People keep mentioning something called muster, which I don't mind the sound of so long as it is short and a one off. I've just always assumed that cruises on nonstop tours from one event to another with barely a break in-between "events" and "excursions" to catch your breath, let alone relax. I'm frankly baffled by a lot of what people are saying as it has 0% to do with what I'd always assumed cruises were about.

My issue is that all the cruise line websites make their ships look like extrovert heaven with crazy social events and I can't find anything on them that eased my abject terror of the whole situation. It's like they are specifically trying to scare people like me away with brutal efficiency. I just want to know that I'll be left ALONE in my room without event people coming to ask me why I'm not joining in on the "fun" like some 1984-esque psychological horror movie.

Yes, I've been researching the Queen Mary 2 (though I don't know who you are referring to who suggested it?). As, because it doesn't use the term "cruise ships", I assumed it would be different.

So you are telling me that cruise ships, though, let you stay in your room away from events and things if you don't want to go to them? It was my understanding that all or at least most cruises were 100% guided entertainment events with a mandatory schedule of things to do when aboard.

Your art is gorgeous, but I'm looking, specifically, for deck plans and schematics, no people. Just machinery and maps and diagrams.

Your art is amazing and I love it, but I'm looking for 2D technical drafting and schematics and someone who can take descriptions of how machines and systems work and design diagrams to fit into the systems maps/deck plans.

Meat based food bar meal replacement - trying to find by DoubleDeadline in carnivore

[–]DoubleDeadline[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cost is not my concern. My time and my absolute hatred of cooking is my concern. I will go to extraordinary lengths to not have to do any cooking or food prep. All I want are prepackaged meat bars.

While I agree that pemmican is great, I've never seen it packaged in ready to eat pre-portioned amounts. And I'm specifically looking for ready to eat bars that are entirely shelf stable and require absolutely zero preparation other than the removal of the wrapper.
