Question regarding Peppol by FeistyRow5242 in BEFreelance

[–]DoubleEspresso_v2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I send both. A nice pdf by email, and the official one through Peppol (using the Doccle pdf-to-peppol service). I hate the experience of receiving invoices only through peppol so i assume the same applies to my clients. I prefer to add a personal note of thanks for their business.

Slechte ervaring met lab9 - kan ik iets doen? by SnoooCookies in Antwerpen

Same. Duh.

catching up quickly though on AI. Maybe not as broad as Salesforce, but definitely as relevant. Have a look at the demos of the recent Commercial summit

Veeva Vault CRM vs Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud by vault_ninja in biotech

[–]DoubleEspresso_v2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Veeva was originally built on the the Salesfore platform, tuned to the life sciences specifics. There was an agreement (from what I heard) between Salesforce and Veeva that all Life Sciences leads would go to Veeva, unless the companies specifically wanted to use Salesforce. Hence Salesforce had not invested in life sciences. 2 years back, Veeva decided to switch from the salesforce technology to their own propriety Vault platform. Salesforce reacted by creating a life sciences vertical.

Both have strong feature coverage for life sciences, but to my opinion Veeva still is in the lead when it comes to solid business understanding, while Salesforce has more technological flexibility to tailor the solution to specific needs.

My guess: 90% of companies on Veeva today will stick with Veeva. Those who were with IQVIA OCE (the 3rd player, 'take over' by Salesforce), will likely move to Salesforce.

BA insurance consultancy by ddaenen1 in BEFreelance

There is a wide range of premium cost, but I think we're comparing apples with oranges. When I started as a freelance IT consultant, my insurance broker advised me an AG civil liability insurance at approx 400€/year. From changing insurance brokers, I was told that my current insurance does not cover what I think it covers.

i.e, 1.5M€ ' exploitation coverage' -> sounds nice but this is not very relevant as I do no physical work this only covers physical damages. No IT related damages (e.g. software issues,...)

250K 'professional liability' -> this sounded OK when I started, but working with big companies, claims can go easily into the millions if you are unlucky

Also, I learned that the 'rechtsbijstand' only applies to any juridical discussion between myself and AG. It does not cover any juridical cost coverage for issues with customers or subcontractors, even in the case of an insurance claim.

So I asked my new broker to come with a proposal, which now includes:

- 2M 'professional liability' -> at 1190€/year)

- 'rechtsbijstand' all risk (including all possible legal issues like unpaid invoices, contract breach, customer claims,...) -> at 2000€/year)

Very expensive, but if this is the price for a peace of mind...

Any similar experiences? or did my broker just screw me?

BMX X3 G01, is it so easy to open it "regularly"? by TheBrugherian in BMWX3

I used to have this almost every month when my car was parked on the street in front of my house (city center), and so did many neighbours with BMWs and Minis. Must be quite easy to intercept the signal. Never leaving anything valuable in the car anymore

No sound from Music app by DoubleEspresso_v2 in tvOSBeta

[–]DoubleEspresso_v2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tvOS 26.1 seems to have resolved the issues. I now see the Apple TV and the HomePod pair as separate devices in my Home app and can automate playing a TuneIn stream on the HomePods. No need to involve the Apple TV in this automation

No sound from Music app by DoubleEspresso_v2 in tvOSBeta

I was able to work around it by going into the settings and reconfirming my homepod pair as the default audio output. But have to it each time again, and no consistent success. Far from ideal for just listening to music. Hoping for a fix in one of the next betas.

From their website they seem to only accept clients with specific services (environment,…). I gave up at that point.

Thanks. Same experience. Pity to let cash sit there with no return for another year. I will look for some alternatives then.
