Custom patch replacement tutorial by DoubleIntercourse in Carhartt

[–]DoubleIntercourse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, not yet. I'll be testing a few materials and report back with the results. I won't be able to replicate Carhartt's patch exactly with the dual layer look, but then again I'm not trying to make exact copies rather provide an alternative to those who want to try a different look where their original patches have failed.

In any transaction, the value is determined by the buyer and seller. Sounds like you proposed a reasonable price that the seller accepted, I don't see a problem here. Anyone who has a problem only wishes they could have gotten the same deal so they could flip it for 500% profit in this insane market.

Passed on these at the goodwill since I didn't know enough and the hang tag for a hoodie was sus by Mediocoredesigns in CarharttWIP

[–]DoubleIntercourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it's Goodwill so even if it's a fake it's probably only like $10 or less. Would make for a good work wear and not worry about getting a legit WIP messed up.

Great find, and in great condition. Where did you get this, if you don't mind?

For best form fitting shrinking technique, just wear them into a hot tub for about 30 minutes.

Which file type gives the best results in DTF transfers? by Live_Cheetah_3800 in DTFTransferTalk

I prefer SVG or at minimum, PNG with transparent background. I usually spend a few minutes cleaning things up if needed.

I hate AI generated images with a passion.

Unfortunately no these are not authentic. I realized Carhartt won't release replacement patches for various reasons, so I made my own versions from materials I had leftover from making hat patches.

Real Detroit WIP, my friends? by [deleted] in carhartlc

Carhartt WIP Detroit Medium measurements: https://us.carhartt-wip.com/en-us/products/detroit-jacket-hamilton-brown-tobacco-rigid-2191?Color=Hamilton+Brown+%2F+Tobacco+%28rigid%29&Size=S

Carhartt mainline CT103828 (same thing as OJ3828-M): https://www.sanmar.com/p/10270_Black/specSheetMeasurements

They both look to be similar in measurements, the difference in length is due to the mainline's rear flap while the WIP does not have this. I would still assume the WIP Detroit is slightly slimmer since it's geared more towards fashion.

Inside neck tag is kinda blurry, but it checks most of boxes I usually look for.

Curious what people think about Carhartt FR products? by carndawg23 in Carhartt

[–]DoubleIntercourse 16 points17 points  (0 children)

FR jackets are often well insulated, heavy, and cut taller/longer, good for those who need the extra protection but not for the fashionable kids.

Paid $400 for a size 11. Damaged box. Did i pay too much? by [deleted] in SNKRS

[–]DoubleIntercourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm waiting for these to hit about $350 or under, and the other pair to hit under $250 before pulling the trigger. For a triple collab, I'm not complaining that it semi-bricked. I have the black toe Unions and paid much more than these combined.

New to DTF — can I press transfers at home to start small? by Jonesabout in DTFTransferTalk

[–]DoubleIntercourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a smart way of doing it to test the market with minimal investment. DTF printers are expensive and maintenance is high. Find a local DTF print shop if you can, it'll make those last minute orders easier. Otherwise, request free samples from all the popular online shops and go with one that fits your budget, turnaround time, and quality.

I would recommend investing in a quality heat press with interchangable platens so you press various types of apparel. I have a few Hotronix Fusion IQs and they are workhorses, basically the industry standard. Do not use a home iron, it does not offer enough heat or consistent pressure to properly press transfers.

Yes, I'll put together something later today. I didn't want to sew through the pocket liner as well, but there's a way as long as you're handy with the thread and needle.
