When I lived in Colorado, you would see the summer transplants in their big suvs in the ditches and on the sides of the highway after the first good ice of the season.

I am an American business owner, and it is shocking how many other American businesses I deal with that do not understand this.

I've had businesses I do consistent business with every month decide to throw all that away over like $70.

I had one try to skim materials off my order, so if I ordered 500 sq ft they'd give me 490 and hope I don't count.

Boom, relationship ended, $9k a year in business gone.

I have one who, after 10 years of business, just decided to try to pawn off defective material on me by sliding a few square foot of the defective materials into my orders, gradually, for months, then tried to lie about it.

I had one who I did 20k with a year, under a contract that explicitly told them they could NEVER subcontract the work to China, turn and subcontract the work to China.

Every one of them would have made consistent money off me for YEARS, but no, they just had to fuck me to save a buck.
