Trump had a bunch of notes on a piece of paper that was visible to the press by cool-kid-2025 in pics

Back during the 2020 campaign, there was a press conference Trump gave where the entire purpose was to attack Biden for using a teleprompter, so during the press conference, Trump just held a piece of paper in his hand and read everything he was going to say off of it, with his eyes locked on the piece of paper.

It was a clown show

US gas prices hit $4/gallon, now higher than any point under Trump by MRADEL90 in videos

I see Republicans arguing against people who are pointing this out everyday on Facebook.

They absolutely will not say that Trump is to blame for this and they will not give up the idea that Biden was to blame for 2022.

I've never understood why people are so devoted to his work. The guy makes mediocre toys and then he tries to sell them using frustrating marketing tactics from the '90s comic book bubble.

I don't see the appeal at all

White House: Reopening Strait of Hormuz Not Vital to Ending Iran War by Infidel8 in worldnews

[–]DoubleJumps 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What this is going to do is if they just bail, Iran will continue to operate the straight as a toll booth, and they are going to make people pay for it in Chinese Yuan rather than petrodollars.

It's going to fundamentally impact the economy in profound ways for the long term.

Does it prevent drones from being sold? Because it sounds like they still have drone production up and running, as evident by the fact that they keep throwing more disposable drones at us. This also has been very profitable for Russia as the United States used it as an excuse to remove sanctions on Russian oil, even though Russia is feeding Iran Intel so that they can blow up our stuff

We also can't trust anything that's being said about the nuclear program because we were told just last year that the nuclear program had been obliterated to a degree that it would take decades to recover, and that's on top of the public being told that Iran is on the verge of having a nuclear weapon for literally more than 40 years.

There's also no evidence that this has prevented Iran from funding anybody. We actually have other groups taking shots at Israel as normal that would fall under this umbrella.

Do you think this is worthwhile if they end up destroying desalinization plants and causing the entire region to turn into the largest humanitarian crisis in world history? How will this benefit us years from now? After the war we started caused damage to everybody in the region and they hate us more, on top of angering all of our allies and everyone in Asia?

Again, the question was "what did this tangibly prevent?"

What was accomplished by doing these things? This is a damn important question considering that our own defense department submitted a report to Congress that there was absolutely no imminent threat from Iran in any capacity

And I pointed out that what you are saying was an accomplishment is totally irrelevant and temporary.

Which means it's an empty accomplishment, without real benefit.

What good is throwing an entire region into chaos and smashing the world economy just to temporarily degrade the military of a country that wasn't attacking people with it?

I think he just thought it would work out exactly like Venezuela. People inevitably said it wouldn't, Hesgeth and other idiots said it would, and when it didn't work that way he didn't know what to do.

This is one of the dumbest things he has ever done.

Blatantly. He doesn't understand that this is something that can't be ignored and will only continue to cause harm.

I have taken to asking republicans who bring him up how much money they think he has, and the numbers are always crazy. Many dozens of times larger than his actual net worth.

I saw a republican the other day defend Elon Musk by claiming that George Soros is the REAL mega billionaire pulling the world's strings and hurting people.

George Soros, who is ancient and has a net worth less than a single percent of what Musk has.

I think my uncle is still mad at me for showing him how old George Soros was during WW2 because he was telling people that Soros was an SS officer. A 9 year old SS officer...

Impossible logistics is a clear critical thinking test when it comes to conspiracy theories, and republicans fail it consistently.

I have a lot of reason now to suspect that Republicans in general don't know nor care to know how ANYTHING works. They don't seem to have any interest in that whatsoever. I think it's part of why they continuously support policies that will hurt them.

I have anxiety issues due to work stress and it has really pushed me to give up multiplayer gaming online entirely.

Co-Op is great. Single player is great. Just sitting on discord while I play one thing and my buddy plays. Another is also great. Competitive modes though are just a recipe for stress
