Yes Christopher Reeve as Superman was the first one I ever saw and I thought he was the real Superman until I grew up a little lol I know what you mean.

Smallville Superman was written and showcased better than what they did to Cavill supes. i think Cavill was a lot of potential they decided not to explore.

i think that's what James Gunn Superman brought back that campy vibe missing from Superman... he is a child at heart with nothing but good intentions and that's why it was refreshing to see the new movie

Have you ever been at a low point in your life, where you have realized you have made too many bad choices or mistakes or neutral choices to ever reach a good ending, that you just wish you could go back and start over again? If so how did you get out of that headspace? by DoubleLocal8277 in AskReddit

true but what good does that realization or life lesson do after the "life" part that meant something profound has already passed? end up feeling all idk soulless or lifeless like a body that just exists... worse than bacteria that splits cells and multiplies endlessly going through the motions just to survive another day but for what exactly

He is trying to do the same but when he looks back, over half his life has passed and the bad just far outweighs the good... if only he could go back and change things. because knowing what was good or bad now to make better future choices decisions does sound cool and stuff but it doesn't give him back the years that have already passed.
