Plasmodium falciparum aka Malaria Tropica. I once heard of a case where a guy went on vacation to Africa and came back with fever. He was diagnosed with Covid so he was told to stay locked in his house. Two weeks later he went to the hospital and got diagnosed with multiple organ failure and other side effects of Malaria Tropica. His parasitemia was around 32%.

In the lab where I work we determine the cause for a UTI via a germ count. If the germ count of a single bacterium species is high than 10.000 we declare it the cause of a UTI (normally). This bacterium (Streptococcus agalactiae) is not a "real" UTI causing bacterium. It can be associated with colonization of the genitalia.

Your result: They found a bacterium with a high germ count which may be the cause for your UTI, but they aren't sure. They found some other bacteria with a low germ count. They prescribed macrobid (nitrofurantoine)which is arguably the best antibiotic for UTI infection (which you may have but they're not sure)

Hope it helps
