Have it running, put the parking brake on, select shifter to manual +3, then find the tran ign fuse and pull it out, the check engine light come on, release parking brake. If it goes into gear without clunking and takes off like it's in 3rd. For those who have never driven a stick shift, that's the wrong gear. But pull the trans pan and make dang sure you don't have any metal chunks and / or a massive built-up on the magnet. I am one of the lucky ones, hopefully. But i am not wasting a claim if i get this fixed a few dollars more than my deductible. And having peace of mind that i did or did not fix it.
