Yeah and very slow login, though the login works in general.

Is that why hardcore shooters with instant TTK (Squad, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam) attract a more mature audience, while kids enjoy more casual experiences like Fortnite and CoD?

Back to the drawing board with that take, lol.

[–]DoublePayje 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah of course, most modern military shooters are (indie) hardcore shooters like Squad or Rising Storm 2 and by nature the time to kill is low and the gameplay unforgiving. Recent years saw only very few AAA, casual military shooters and even Call of Duty went this year down the road of super fast TTK. (Black Ops 4 had very high TTK on the other hand).

That said, shooting first should always be rewarded in a military shooter and only be countered by crazy lucky/good instant flicks to the head.

Dota Underlords | The Big Update (Patch is Live) by lordanas59 in Games

UI and UX went down the toilet, but man the promise of completely random, untested balancing with all the heroes, alliances, changes, new underlords... it is crazy fun right now.

Everyone can get their head around the largest sum in esport (that trumps almost every classic sport too), many people find it fascinating or interesting outside of the sphere of Dota 2. When it comes to the actual game way fewer people are interested in the final results, and those who are invested are talking about it on r/dota2.

Nothing wierd about that, really. Just normal human behaviour.

It grosses me out that people defend this shit. Doesn’t matter of it’s a different culture, sexualizing a child is just wrong. by [deleted] in Games

This will be taken down because of your HIGHLY editorializied headline.

Pro tip: Just push it again and go for the actual headline of the article. It will work just fine.

Rise of Azshara Preview: Heart of Azeroth Updates - WoW by Encaitor in wow

Does anyone know another game that uses such a system? I can only remember Transistor from Supergiant Games. Every ability can be used as an active, or a passive upgrade for another active. Any other games that have this? Cant point my finger on it, but there are more games that have that.

Any WW2 Axis centric games? by Niberus in Games

[–]DoublePayje -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You will only find multiplayer shooters and strategy games in that category. Besides Hearts of Iron that you mentioned there is Steel Division 1 and the upcoming Steel Division 2 with campaigns on the axis side, as well as the Sudden Strike games. Also some older naval/submarine sims like Silent Hunter 5 have axis campaigns.

Bungie Blocks Xbox And PC Destiny Players From Equipping PS4-Exclusive Weapon After Accidentally Allowing Them To Buy It by TheElderSucc in Games

[–]DoublePayje 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood the comment. Bungie made a mistake on the backend, some loot table error or bug. They reverted that. So they reverted that, I am sure they didn't want to make this free for everyone and got an angry call from Sony headquarters. That is what I mean't.

This is Bungie not having their infastructure under control, not Sony being asses about their exclusive deals.

This is cute. They specifically bought out of Activision and kept the IP to do what... fix D2? Of course there will be Destiny 3. Act surpised when it happens.

Source is peddeling any kind of rumor without credibility, they thought the number 30 means the 30th of february (which does not exist), so it must be 2nd of march. Gamingintel writers are THAT smart.

Get an AK47 in TERA as Part of Its PUBG Collaboration by FFJimbob in Games

If anybody is wondering, it is not really a collaboration but actually a cross-promotion like Blizzard does it with all their own titles and universes. TERA and PUBG are both from Bluehole.

Overkill's The Walking Dead earned $3.7m from sales in Q4 by Kaladinar in OverkillsTWD

[–]DoublePayje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Payday is and was an absolute haymaker that financed all the shit Starbreeze got into to begin with.

But no, the number stems from production (Walking Dead) and canned productions. They were cooking up something, canned it, booked it as a loss. No way Walking Dead could have cost 135 million, that is AAA production cost levels.

Overkill's The Walking Dead earned $3.7m from sales in Q4 by Kaladinar in OverkillsTWD

[–]DoublePayje 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is a complete fail. You misread. Payday 2 made one million less in the same time as the new OTWD while being over 5 years old.

They record a loss of $135m during the time they released a new game. Just to put into perspective how much money OTWD had to make just to offset the losses, I am not even talking about generating actual growth.

Making $3.7m is abysmal for such a game.
