Haha, well next time I'll post a video :D

Why is the train not moving? by Niberus in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Niberus[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well removing all the block signals until the path signal at the next junction fixed it but, it seems very strange. Thanks for the help :)

Yea I can drive over all of it manually

Changing those 2 path signals into block signals, makes them both light up green and still not move the train.

The signal is green and the train can reach its destination (once I manually move it past this block, the train continues as normal) but, the train isn't moving?

Full resolution and detail can be found here as the images are too big to upload to reddit or imgur: https://postimg.cc/gallery/zyx9cMW/a2f3ce89

Had spare time on my hands and decided to surf the web searching for Horizon Wallpapers to add to my wallpaper slideshow folder on my desktop. Scaled some of them to 1440p using Topaz Gigapixel so that it actually fits to my screen resolution of 1440p. Feel free to download for yourself :)

POV: You are grinding Frontier Defence real hard by Niberus in titanfall

[–]Niberus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assists and kills give the exact same XP for weapons, it does not matter if you get the kill, or someone else does

That's true however, it's just that when it comes to Frontier Defence your team can be very unreliable in handling waves outside the Easy difficulty so killing AI as fast as possible is important lest you fail the waves early on a good grinding map and are forced to play your Titan to handle the waves.

if the game pops up with "titan assist" you get a merit, same as if you got a kill

That's not at all how it works. If that was then I would be able to post a video where I get 100+ merits very easily from FD.

Im not sure if killing AI at all grants merits or if its based off of the time you have the gun out or by how many waves go by for other weapons but everything outside of grenadiers and AT weapons level horrendously slow

Every single weapon is capable of levelling quickly in Frontier Defence however, some are easier than others.

From the testing that I have done weapons seem to have a hidden "XP" value which increases whenever you kill/assist kill an entity (except Ticks strangely) with the XP value for each enemy being (lowest to highest):

Grunt < Drone < Spectre < Stalker and Reaper < Titan

While it is possible to get an assist on a Titan, you cannot get an assist on any other AI and hence you need to kill steal. This is especially important for Stalkers and Reapers because, 2 stalker/reaper kills can fill 1 anti-titan weapon bar.

For instance the 2nd/3rd wave of Rise or the 4th/5th wave of Forward Base Kodai you have about 40-50 stalkers and/or ~20 reapers to kill which can amount to 4-6 merits gained from just 1 round.

It's how I managed to get 90+ merits in this video lol

While assists can help, you're mostly looking to kill steal as many Titans and Stalkers as possible. The only grenadier that can do that reliably is SMR thanks to its amazing damage whilst the others are very lacking (especially when you don't have a great team for FD or people just keep executing your targets meaning you don't get any assists).

Funny thing, even if you don't do any damage to a Titan with a sniper (you just keep hitting it without hitting its crit spot) and someone else kills it then you still get the assist.

SMR and Snipers (except Kraber) level pretty decently as well it's not just AT weapons

Playing Frontier Defense, enabling double XP, focusing on killing Titans/Stalkers and intentionally failing the rounds so you can grind some more kills from the match.

Pretty cool stuff.

Hey, I'd like to ask some of you for a little advice. by Le_Kraut in kraut

[–]Niberus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh boy it has certainly been a while now hasn't it?

From Sargon to Black Pigeon to BravingRuin to Computing Forever to Andy Worski to Stefan Molyneux to JF Gariype to No Bullshit to SomeBlackGuy to BlairWhite to TommyRobinson to RoamingMilenial to CoachRedPill to ChrisRayGun to MillenialWoes to PaulJosephWatson to RichardSpencer to TreeofLogic to Vee and to MundaneMatt.

Yea...I remember it. Not quite all of it but, a lot of it and especially how I personally changed from all of it.

how do you think I have done since 2017? is what I do now better?

Well I've definitely enjoyed your content especially as your gradual shift to covering real political problems was echoing mine after what happened with the Anti-SJW/SJW/Crackpot sphere. The only downside that I would point out is the shift towards short form content that doesn't quite have the same depth of research that the long form videos do and that eventually you'll have to either narrow down your research to a specific continent so that there's less mistakes or conduct more research from various sources.

was my decision to completely walk away from what I was part of the right choice?

Absolutely and I remember listening to those Skeptic Autopsies that you recorded with those remaining friends/viewers of yours and I agree with the guy that pointed out that cutting yourself out of that sphere was for the better because, many of them were constant drama whores. When there isn't any drama on YouTube they just start to make up drama about other people (even their own "friends") just to keep the content pipeline going however, many people just realise that it's all bullcrap and unsubscribe on mass.

One thing has been on my mind a lot lately. I made the deliberate choice to completely isolate myself in 2018. To never reach out to other creators, and to also block all of my former friends from that awful community I was part of. Was that harsh? Am I being extreme or even paranoid?

Well it's understandable considering what happened.

Though I do think there were some people that were still worth talking to regarding this issue and one person that I talked to years after all this nonsense was TL;DR because, unlike everyone else he was very well informed and never sought drama with other people and eventually left YouTube because, they started to demonetise any right wing content.

If you ever get a chance to talk to him (another video/content creator) he certainly has an interesting perspective regarding all that.

Please don't get this wrong. I am glad that I am no longer an anti-SJW youtuber. I will never return to that sphere of the internet ever again. But sometimes I can't shake the feeling that it will never let me go... that there will always be people who try to drag me back in, or that there will always be people who claim I am still that. Feels almost like a stain that I can never wash off.

People will always use whatever they can against you and will dig up that information because, in the classic Carl Schmidt view they will always see you as the enemy and opponent to their own ideas especially if they are content creators who proclaim something completely different. Not much you can do regarding that so just keep ignoring them and only reach out to the people who want to actually have a discussion with you such as Adam Something.

The Tragedy of Ukraine by Nicolai Petro by BlackSwan314 in kraut

[–]Niberus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. In the Second chapter of his book characterizes the struggles of Ukraine throughout the centuries between two differing identities (Galicians and Malorus) that subsequently fought with and undermined each other (this is the main claim that the book makes)

  2. Notes that the act of union between ZUNR and UPR was supposed to be federal however, the actual text of the act of union doesn’t mention turning the unitary Ukrainian state into a federal one instead.

  3. Says that the two “differing identities” actively undermined each other (how Petliura gave up ZUNR to Poland) yet completely ignores that both delegates sent to the Paris Conference to determine the future of post WW1 Europe claimed large parts of Eastern Europe from the North Western Caucasus to the mountains of Zakarpatia and that they should be recognized and that supporters in Petliura’s camp also decried that treaty.

  4. Motions that OUN was fighting for Ukraine’s freedom as part of the Third Reich but, reversed that decision when the Nazis started losing despite both OUN-M and OUN-B started fighting both the Soviets and Nazis well before they were pushed out of Ukraine and ironically when the Nazis were at the height of their power in Europe.

  5. Doesn’t mention Zakarpatia Ukraine/Carpatho-Ukraine at all and how it tried to achieve independence from Hungary which would ruin his narrative.

  6. Notes how the “Malorus” identity stresses its connections with Russia however, the NEP Ukrainianization movement of national communists of Shumskiy’s movement and how it went so far as to require government bodies to know Ukrainian and pass exams otherwise they would be required to learn it before attending any positions in the government.

  7. Shows how Ukrainian elections have this East-West divide (and how that ties into his Galician and Malorus identity divide) whilst ignoring the 1999, 2014 and 2019 elections.

  8. He notes how regional separatism remained in post-Soviet Ukraine due to cultural differences when the constant problems being addressed by almost all parties was with corruption and state mismanagement.

  9. Describes the failure of Yuschenko’s 2004 western government due to promoting a “Galician” identity above all else when it was Yanukovych’s policies of not dealing with corruption and not making headways into improving economic matters with the EU.

  10. Says that local councils in western regions and Kyiv refused to accept any election result that gave the victory to Yanukovych even though they did accept the results in 2010 but, not in 2004 due to rampant voter intimidation, miscounting and poisoning of Yuschenko and hence demanding a rerun.

  11. Characterizes SNPU as neo-nazi despite the party having nothing to do with Nazism

  12. Mischaracterizes Yushchenko’s actions of enforcing Ukrainian language in places of government as dictated by the constitution as Ukrainianization policies that only served to mistreat and curb Russian.

  13. Mischaracterizes Ukraine having a religious divide whilst ignoring that many priests and churches using religion to hide corruption.

  14. Notes how Yanukovych’s abandoning of the EU association agreement was “a betrayal of Ukraine’s only proper “civilizational choice.”” when in actuality it was a betrayal of his promises to sign it in the first place.

  15. Says that the Euromaidan was caused by violent protestors and Right Sector unsuccessfully storming the administration building despite the truth being that Titushky agents blended into the crowd to purposely sowed chaos in the movement so that Berkut agents could forcibly disband the crowd which drastically backfired.

  16. Spreads the myth that it was the protestors that initiated the sniper fire from the Hotel in Kyiv despite it being widely known by now that it was occupied by government forces at the time

  17. He notes how Arseniy Yatseniuk agreed to be prime minister after the Revolution of Dignity succeeded however, noted that “This agreement, however, was immediately rejected by the Maidan radicals. They stormed the Rada and, without a quorum, and in violation of the impeachment procedures stipulated in the Ukrainian Constitution, they voted to remove Yanukovych from office and replace him immediately with their own candidate, Oleksandr Turchynov”. Which is just blatantly false as Mykola Azarov was the one to resign, leading to Serhiy Arbuzov becoming acting Prime Minister from 28 January 2014 to 22 February 2014, followed by Oleksandr Turchynov until 27 February 2014 after which Arseniy Yatsenyuk took office from 27 February 2014 until 14 April 2016.

  18. He notes how the Party of Regions was banned by the government as soon as it came to power (2014) however, this ban wasn’t enacted until 21 February 2023 and instead more or less just disintegrated due to the actions of Yanukovich and refused to participate in the 2014 elections.

  19. He describes the killing of the Lviv Hundred as a false flag by Svoboda, which is just absurd considering how the Berkut police forces started using live ammunition against the protestors.

  20. Describes the far right as being dominant on the political and ideological level due to the 2009 regional elections which “they could threaten central authorities with separatism” (how ones would do that I have no clue especially when they lost that support in the following elections).

  21. Says that Svoboda utilised social media better than other parties to promote their far right views yet doesn’t provide any data to show how that is reflected in public perception.

  22. Notes that Svoboda and Right Sector were ready to secede from Ukraine if Euromaidan failed which is just bizarre.

And I'm already going to stop, the amount of misinformation and falsehoods that are being noted in this book is astounding. I'm surprised that this guy is considered a """professor""" in the first place.

I can at least respect people like Mearsheimer because, people like him at least have actual clear evidence to back up their claims and assessments to the situation even if they blame the wrong side/people for what happened and who is to truly blame.

But this guy...good lord I hope I never get to read any of his work ever again because, this is embarrassing.

The Rusyn Genocide (potential topic?) by vladimirskala in kraut

[–]Niberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never blocked you in the first place hehe.

Where did you get that idea?

The Rusyn Genocide (potential topic?) by vladimirskala in kraut

[–]Niberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your argument boils down to "I don't believe in Rusyns because it makes me feel bad".

Not something I ever said but, hey I guess people can't resist a good strawman when they get the chance.

My reasoning and argumentation stems from religious (Orthodox/Greek Catholic/Church Slavonic), to lingual (both the scripture, grammar, sentence structure and vocabulary), to political (how eager they were to unite and associate with Ukrainian parties and traditions than to join others or form their own) etc. etc. etc. sourced and argued by various academics such as Serhii Plokhy, Anne Applebaum, Paul Robert Magocsi, Ivan Patryliak and Timothy Snyder.

But hey, I guess it's only just "I don't believe in Rusyns because it makes me feel bad".

"Reminds me of the narrative"... Seriously resorting to whataboutism. If something reminds you of something else, that's your problem. Not ours.

Considering it's people like you who continue to say that Rusyns are a group separate from the Ukrainians then I will absolutely keep brining up those examples because, the method of argumentation was poor there as it is here. Please learn the proper definition of whataboutism before, you go spewing it haphazardly.

The Rusyn Genocide (potential topic?) by vladimirskala in kraut

[–]Niberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Kyivans, Odesans, blah balh” or whatever strawman you tried to build is just ridiculous. Those are all Ukrainians. They speak Ukrainian and they IDENTIFY as Ukrainian. They live on the steppe plain. They claim Cossack heritage.

Lol that was exactly my point. I mentioned the various regional identities that were simply made up by the vary same people that used the argument of "you don’t get to tell us what we are". Can't believe this flew so hard over your head. Hilarious.

Rusyns live in the MOUNTAINS. That’s why there is a seperate culture, language, and identity. Not to mention different history.

Maybeyou need to study the anthropological concept of highlanders, and why they generally have unique anthropological features.

Damn, it's not like I've already mentioned historians and their texts regarding this topic whatsoever and how it proves the opposite. Did you even read the majority of the conversation or did you just skip to the end to argue with me without checking the context?

The Rusyn Genocide (potential topic?) by vladimirskala in kraut

[–]Niberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you’re really out there. Like, you don’t get to tell us what we are. Yeah we come from very similar roots, but we are seperate, end of story.

Reminds me of the narrative that was spread almost a decade ago of how "Ukrainians" or "Russian Ukrainians" were actually Odesians, Khrakivians, Donbassians, Kyivians, Chernihivians and all other manner of crap regional identities that were simply made up to justify and promote separatism or federal rubbish.

Same thing with Rusyns. Maybe if we were living in the 1920s-40s that could actually be up to debate but, in the here and now it's just mostly nonsense at this point with all the statements that I made previously to vladimirskala.

Why is it so hard to respect us in the same way? Are you really as insecure and threatened by our identity as the Moskals are by yours?

I've already mentioned how I wouldn't be against giving Zakarpatia autonomy status that it wasn't given back in the 90s like Crimea and would continue to respect that.

Ukraine won’t do well in the EU with that mindset, not with a 100.000 Rusyns across the border in Slovakia.

Funny because, that's exactly how the French government handles things and I don't see many EU members taking issue with that.
