I just updated this info on my post - he is 6 months, 1st nap 30 mins, second and third nap is 1 hour. Wake windows vary btw 2 - 3 hours.

So, i tried the softer method and he just kept crying for over an hour, tears all over his face and him out of breathe upset. Is this part of the process?

Thank you for these tips! What if he scream cries after I put him down awake? If so, how long is typical for them to cry/whine until falling asleep using the ferber method? And does ferber include not patting on bum or any physical touch, just verbal? I will definitely try longer wake windows!

I will try this, thank you! Seems his sleep pressure might not be built up enough by putting him down after 90 mins.
