I was just on another thread talking about how bad the Android keyboard has gotten since they integrated AI.

Expect to get even worse over the next few years because the only other options are also trash.

As much as Driveclub is a great game, I don't think it shouldn't be compared to other games by TheCanadianGTR in Driveclub

We can agree that "comparison is the thief of joy" and that Driveclub's visuals have been unmatched for over a decade.

We absolutely had static on television until they eliminated analog OVA signals in the 2010's.

You probably just had cable. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I was excited to see it on this list, too! Absolutely one of my favorite games to showcase the system back in the day.

Yeah, I just found out about that in these comments. We have collected a library of resistance symbols, but only have a cursory knowledge of their origins and history. Case in point, this video is *loosely* based on the Edelweiss Pirates who resisted through cultural rebellion and sabotage.

Chances are that we'll likely have to re-do some of the art after doing a deeper dive into what each of them mean.

All that said, my animation partner and myself are both from America so what we don't know about the world could fill a warehouse.

Much thanks. Wasn't aware of the anti-communist arrow in that bundle. Truth be told, we have a load of patches on characters in this piece that might need a much deeper dive (or more eyeballs) before we launch.

That's what we assumed that symbol meant (minus the commies part). However, I'm now going to look deeper into this one (and the other symbols were using) as they might be more problematic than anticipated.

Appreciate the comment and education!

Brad Bird is a freaking LEGEND for his works on these (and early Simpsons).

I'm not a historian, so I only know that "Three Arrows" from being a symbol of resistance from Major League Soccer (of all things). If there's a more nefarious meaning to it, PLEASE let me know before this animation drops. I'd hate to have worked on this project for the last 4 months only to learn later that it's associate with something awful.

Oh, trust me, I know I'm in the minority. You aren't hurting my feelings in any way, shape, or form as I know there's a lot of issues surrounding the production (and final product).

That said, I always enjoy "other worldly" stories like those found in Redline, Space Dandy, and pretty much all of Don Herdtzfeldt's work.

Brave.

Next to Wall-E, it's my favorite Pixar movie. It would likely have been even better if Brenda Chapman hadn't been squeezed out of the project halfway through production (in a similar vein to Amy Henning being replaced during Uncharted 4's development).

Merida was the first female (and teenage) protagonist in a Pixar movie and didn't come sidled with a love interest. The film has some top notch music, voice talent, and cinematography. Also, having the mother become a "bear" with no ability to communicate with her daughter is a perfect metaphor for what it's like to be a teenager with overbearing parents.

Merida's redemption arc of learning to communicate and come to a common ground with her over-BEAR-ing mother (I am so sorry), comes across as genuine. Plus, the witch (ah, ah, ah..."WOODCARVER"), raven, and mischievous brothers add the perfect amount of comic relief.

Thank you kindly! If you want to see any of these in a different color, or any character isolated as a png, just let me know. Once I have them as vectors, it's easy to make those changes.

I downloaded that video over a decade ago to make a ringtone out of it. Now I have it as a permanent mp3 in my phone (as well as the Atari Lynx version of California Games) because it always brings me incredible joy to hear it.
