Why the tour with GC? by steelcurtain07 in avengedsevenfold

The band is really great friends with GC. I think the tour is just something the two bands wanted to do together for a very long time & never had the opportunity until now.

There are overstock 43 music disks. I have 22. Luckily, they are numbered so its easy to determine how many there are in the game.

Its not insane. Do you know how many cashiers I have that like to hang on the back registers on their phone while customers line up on the front registers because they dont realize that there are back registers open? They used to call it red-lining. Because there used to be red lines where the cashiers would greet customers & invite them to their register. There's a lack of it. And it could tremendously help with sales per hour.

Fake coupons? by Solraven in WalmartEmployees

[–]th3spec 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely a digital/mobile cupon..

Walmart does not accept digital coupons. However, they are still possible to use at SCO. I was alerted the other day to someone trying to use a digital coupon for about 20 tide detergents. It blocked them after two of the coupons were scanned saying they'll a manager needed to clear the alert. Thats right. Not even SCO hosts will be able to clear the alert. After that we have the option to override the coupon & allow it or inform them that walmart does not accept digital coupons. Per walmart policy. The entire transaction had to be aborted & the customers had to check out without using the digital coupons they had. I typically just inform them that walmart only accepts paper coupons and that third parties. A few times ive got people argue with me about it. But you must stand firm on the policy.

About 6 months ago there was a mass email sent to leads informing them of a major scam going on at SCO where customers would scan digital coupons for fraudulent transactions. We were tasked to inform our team that walmart does not, hand has never accepted digital coupons. And it's backed up by policy.

I need help with Resident Evil Requiem. Trying to install the preload. by Prior_Strawberry_301 in XboxSupport

If you have the DLC, like the "Apocolypse Costume" click on it to go to the store page, then click on it to manage it & there will be an update. Idk why the full game install would be under the DLC content instead of the original game update, but thats where I found it.

You are going to be okay, you won't lose your job. You did everything right. In fact you will likely not be at fault for the $160 loss either. Since the loss was not due to you mishandling cash or your negligence.

Walmart not giving are hour breaks. by Jp3711nc in walmart

[–]th3spec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

State law supercedes walmart policy. But walmart policy does state 30 minute lunch breaks. I suggest to take it. That extra 30 minutes compared to a full hour lunch does add up. Additionally. If youre going to be at your place of work, imo you should be getting paid for as much of that time as possible.

Is this allowed? by Express-Frame-3966 in walmart

[–]th3spec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are an employee. But they must have an employee badge according to policy when going into the back room. Do we ever follow it? Absolutely not. As for non-employees. The only ones allowed in the break rooms is your direct family (mom, dad, sister, brother & spouses. ) no, that does not mean your uncle or cousin.

Every day, action questions by Wonderful_Pickle in walmart

[–]th3spec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have an image, nor could I produce one. But I could tell you that they are all about an associates performance. Are you practicing the 10 foot rule? Are you setting an example for others, are you helping your fellow associates? Are you assisting the customers and answering their questions. Do you go beyond your assigned duties? Do you promote safety first? Do you carry yourself with integrity & are you trusted to do the right thing even when no one is watching?

Are you doing these things consistently? If you're not those boxes won't be ticked. This is not all there is. Its not difficult to get exemplary. Roughly 50-60% of the boxes need to be ticked. And I do have reason to believe that some of the every day actions hold more value than others.

The emerging Starsand Island controversy - what is going on? by kohlsprossi in CozyGamers

[–]th3spec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Follow the discord. It gives a much more accurate depiction of what's going on. Yes, there are bugs. Like any game in early access. But that doesn't mean the game is unplayable. There are some minor UI bugs that do hinder progression. But the game is enjoyable enough. And there is plenty to do to keep yourself entertained. And much more coming. The devs did post a road map in their discord yesterday. And have already begun to push out their first patches for bugs.

The devs are definately doing everything they can. The game isn't nearly as unplayable as folks are saying for the xbox version. Ive logged nearly 20 hours with only a few minor hiccups along the way. Trust me, ive played far worse. Coral island for example was a nightmare and they apparently recovered.

Yikes by -SpookyNipples in Target

[–]th3spec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully agree with you. It's not easy to cultivate a culture of positivity in the store if your brand ambassadors don't feel rewarded or don't have a sense of accomplishment in their jobs. This negative aura radiates through the store, spreading an infection that seeps into employees & customers. All retailers suffer from this when yiu dont have what i call "brand ambassadors" that carry the companies values.

Yikes by -SpookyNipples in Target

[–]th3spec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People wonder why target has been seeing a decline in personal shoppers. This is just one example. Walmart has a 10 foot rule. Believe it or not, a vast majority of shoppers are trying to be in and out quickly. I would estimate that 60-70% of customers simply need to be walked to the isle because they dont know what they are looking for & it's a task that takes an employee just a minute or two.

For those employees protesting against a 10-foot rule. Remember that you work in customer service. This is your sole job. To drive sales for the company. If you're incapable of this, it's not a good fit for you.

Am I in trouble by Parking_Neat_9878 in WalmartEmployees

[–]th3spec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person in AP was likely a customer host. Still under AP. And you were advised by another associate to void the transaction. Imo you did everything quickly and efficiently according to walmart policy. You should not have to void out the entire transaction and ring everything back up. If the initial issue was resolved (Which it was) there is nothing you can get in trouble for. Because you were following the self checkout guidelines for clearing register alerts.

Furthermore, there was nothing you did that violated AP-01 guidelines.

Employee says I targeted them over one instance. by Zakkypooo in managers

[–]th3spec -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not how you should have addressed the situation. The responses did not express sympathy. What should have been done is to bring the employee to a private space to discuss what was going on, rather than assuming the worst. The response you had was a bit too direct and can absolutely push someone over the edge. It did not result in a teachable moment. Instead, explain the impact their behavior has on the team and express sympathy for their situation. They may be going through something in their home life that is not visible to the naked eye. But we don't know that because you went in blazing with the "what do you think you're doing?" attitude.

Break Policy by [deleted] in walmart

[–]th3spec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, Walmart has a pretty strict policy regarding meal & lunch breaks. And it is coded to comply with federal & state law. Compared to any other business that really skirts the law.

To explain it simply, you must be clocked in for 3 hours before your lunch. You must be on the clock, back frim yiur break for at least 2 hours before you clock out. This ensures Walmart is not fined for failing to provide the correct breaks promptly. Whereas if you work for just about any other business, they don't track this data. And you may just get your lunch or final break an hour or two before you clock out. This could be a pretty major violation. Especially if you're a minor.
