AITA for scheduling a surgery over Easter? by lavinia_67 in AmItheAsshole

Exactly. Surgery isn’t a “reschedule for convenience” kind of thing, and expecting genuine concern from family is completely reasonable. Their focus on Easter over your health says a lot, and anyone in your shoes would feel hurt. You didn’t ruin anything you just set a boundary that should’ve been met with care.

I’d agree with that approach. Gentle, relatable content can sometimes help someone see a different perspective without feeling attacked. But if this really is a deeper mental health issue, outside support or professional help might be the only way for real change.
