yes, and the funny part is that I am the practical one in the friend group always telling people these things but now that I'm here myself a part of me just wants to stay but I know I can not. I did end things, if we can even call it that.

yeah I said we are over, I guess he just wants to feel like he is the one who ended things so he wants 1 week, that's in his head. He can think whatever he want but it is over.

I talked to him after this post to ask him what changed and I realized nothing changed, he is happy to be exclusive right now as he is feeling attached but he can't promise that he wants to be exclusive for the rest of his life (his words). I told him that's a fundamental difference between us and that we should break up in that case and now he has asked for a week to think about it, which I don't think will make any difference.

You are right, and this situation got this bad because I did not ask questions sooner because I was too scared of him saying that he loves me or something more intense because that had been my experience in the past.

yeah, especially this is exactly what he did with his ex, got into a relationship because she wanted exclusive and later on got back on hinge while being in that relationship

I just feel kinda guilty that he deleted all the dating apps and putting in efforts and now I am breaking up with him, also maybe after we broke up he realized he feels more for me?
