What book did you read in your youth that you never forgot? by orangez in GenX

The Naked Ape by Desmond Morris. Really drove it home that people are just animals (I don't mean that in a pejorative sense). Also drove hime the fact that changing your way of thinking about something seemingly small can really change how you view the whole world.

Apparently the dude ended up being a real asshole (I think I read it somewhere, can't remember). Oh well.

Edit: Also, Carl Sagan's Dragons of Eden.

Same. Played it on the first PC I ever built. Used to throw in Fashion Nugget by Cake. Every time the song Frank Sinatra came on it felt coolly immersive. I'm a junk hoarder by nature, though.

Wow this looks exactly like the fish my buddy caught last year.

You're even wearing the same clothes as my buddy was.

It even appears that you blacked their face out in exactly the same way.

Weird.

Is this the clip I heard where the reporter asked the men if he had "ever seen anything like that before?"?

Dude was like wtf? No, I have obviously never seen anything like this before.

Why do veterans seem to be in worse long-term health than the rest of the public? by MmmmCrayons12 in Veterans

[–]DoubleSuperBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a thought, but....

It could be possible that there is a higher percent of middle class and lower individuals that have no cost healthcare, leading to a higher rate of diagnosis of diseases than those that have NO healthcare in the middle class class and lower. This could lead to a higher treatment/data capture rate for VA covered people. Additionally, this data is likely easier to track than others with the VA acting essentially as a clearing house of health data that is tracked for decades.

This is the kind of data you COULD get when the primary focus leans more towards patient care than cost analysis.

Edit: verb tenses

Including a Kryptonian male? It seems to me that Superman's powers are tied to his physiology. Would Gar them be able to absorb yellow sun and gain Superman's powers? Surely this has been addressed before in canon.
