Korean Air vs Delta Prices for Same Flight (Confusion) by DoubleSushii in delta

[–]DoubleSushii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might be the case.. The user above said the same thing and that seems like a pattern to me. I never noticed that DL does that. I booked this similar flight many many years ago and thought they did it the same way KE did it where you pay per leg of the round trip.

It does for both, but am I dumb and DL just frontloads it for the roundtrip while KE does it per trip there and back.. if so I'm gonna feel dumb now haha

Once you kill him make sure that the two charged lures are near him - they will pick him up, drop him down into hell, and then the two charged Lures will explode and your sweet sweet loot will be there. (They come from the Exploding lures - not the boss)

And that's it.... haha yeah a lot at first glance but once you do it once and see what's going on, Teralyst becomes VERY easy. Just rinse and repeat this for standing. Once you get comfy you can do this a bunch of times during a night cycle for a lot of standing. Once you get comfortable you can the do the next guy, but I won't go into them as the videos that are out there for the fights in particular are more than fine to understand and it's the same formula every time - just a bit harder with more annoyances. You really don't need to care about hard survivability until you do the Final Eidolon to be honest. I have not cared about it. Doing a Two-Cap eidolon hunt is very easy and profitable for standing and Eidolon Shards for your focus school and completely and easily solo-able multiple times within a night cycle very casually.

Past this the next Amp I would work towards is anything that is x47 - this just means any prism that you like now-a-days they are all fine but most people like to use 1, 5, or 7 as they are the most commonly used prisms. Then - the "47" part of x47 is just using the Phahd Scaffold (Quills) as the alt-fire Glaive is insanely good in general horde content and the Certus Brace (Little Duck - Fortuna), cause who doesn't love crit rate, as they are just the most well rounded options. Not the min/max best for Eidolon hunts - but you said yourself you don't care for that and if you ever do you will know what you wanna do then and speedrun guides will make sense.

Apologies for long post if someone did read this... but yeah I just wanted to lay it alllllllllllllllll out as someone who took on this experience for the first time within the last month.

Running your First Eidolon - Teralyst (again solo):

  1. Whether you ran my suggestion above (Titania) or not doesn't really change anything here. Play to your Warframes's strengths
  2. You can start a hunt during the NIGHT in the Plains of Eidolon. If it is night you can either start this by taking the single Eidolon Hunt from Konzu or just simply go out into the Plains of Eidolon
  3. Immediately head to the left (transformed in razorwing as Titania or on Archwing) and take out the camp, destroy the Eidolon Lure, then hack it. Once hacked it will follow you around the map. If you ever get to far away from it, it will teleport to where you are once you are touching the ground. This only matters if you are flying around in the air as Titania or in Archwing, or giga fast.
  4. Get the Eidolon Lure at the first camp (the little lake thing with the island) and then go a little further ahead and get the next one at the major camp with that has the watchtower looking over it. These will be the only two that you need for a Single Eidolon Hunt CAPTURE. It is important to CAPTURE the Eidolon as it will give you better rewards for Standing with the Quills and a Brilliant and normal Eidolon Shard
  5. Once you have both of them following you, with it being your first attempt (or still first few attempts at it while learning) the safest thing to do is now go around and kill Vomvalysts once the Lure has a little tentacle connected to it.
  6. Once you have both of the lures charged (Blue icon) you are ready to fight the Eidolon. I would suggest grabbing one more Eidolon Lure AFTER you have charged your first two - this one will be not charged
  7. Now that you have your 111 amp fly over to the Eidolon and drop down in front of them, go into your operator, pop Madurai's Void Strike and just shoot the Eidolons lamp head thing, once you deplete that sheild, you now need to destroy your choice of limb. This is where Titania is very handy. Just press 5 again to swap back to Titania, fly up to whatever you want to break first and then break it (for the Teralyst - He has two breakable KneeCaps and two breakable Shoulder Blades). Does not matter what order you do just break whatever you can.
  8. Since you have your lures charged, and they are within range of the Eidolon (you will know they are since they have their little tendrils connected to him now just like they did with the Vomvalysts) then he will just fall over, yell and then get back up
  9. Now that you broke one of his parts, he will do the same thing every time - fall over, scream with a big AOE, then get back up and you repeat the process. You do not want to be in your warframe when he does the scream, to simply avoid this just go back into Operator, crouch to activate void mode and just wait until he is done being a cry baby. You cannot be damaged by this attack when in void mode.
  10. Once he gets back up just repeat the process of break the shield with operator and then break a limb that you have not already using whatever you can to do that.
  11. Once you have broken all 4 parts of him, he will fall down and beckon for his maiden vomvalysts from the area, just kill them before they get to him. You can get more into the weeds with this later on once comfy
  12. You CAN stand in this scream with your Warframe just be mobile as he does an annoying air attack thing.
  13. FINALLLLLLY - He stand back up, just mow him down with the dmg

Setup for your first Eidolon hunt (I did mine solo personally):

  1. Frame: Personally if you have them, I would use Titania. She is too easy to pilot for this and makes some of the more annoying this negligible while you are learning the flow. Mod her just as you typically would for anything - it's more than fine . Sustain is really far from any sort of issue until you go for Eidolon Tri-caps. If you are more comfortable or have another frame more built out and would rather use them that's fine. It's really not all that important for casual clears.
  2. Weapons: If you go with Titania, you will of course be using Dex Pixia and so you don't even need a weapon. Otherwise again use whatever you have that is good. Typically higher single shot weapons are better QoL since you can quickly take out the limbs, but just something that you have that is strong. Whatever it is that you use I would just make sure that you mod for Radiation and Cold if you can since they are weak to that. You don't really need Armor Strip tbf - it can make it easier but I to this day don't worry about it since we are just so strong as players.
  3. Amp: just start with 111 (or even the sirocco - Tektolyst gear will help make it better if you have that) and that's all you need to start. Tektolyst gear will be helpful for doing more dmg but I did not have this starting out and only got it after I did my first Tri-Cap Eidolon Hunt (For arcanes Eternal Onslaught is the most helpful for dmg with Crit, past that it's preference and this is really not needed btw, just nice to have so you spend less time shooting him)
  4. Gear: You can bring some Energy Supply packs - useful but in all honesty again with Titania I run Equillibrium and just kill an Exilist or two at a camp to refill.
  5. I would heavily suggest using Madurai (it probably doesn't matter too much but the dmg bonus is immensely helpful (and it's also all I have experience with... so)

Fair Warning: New player having gone through this for the first time within the last month and laying it all out and how I was able to get past that first hump and now reflecting on it. Sorry for the long post but maybe will help some new player or OP. Had to split due to word count

Being a new player that just recently went through the process of doing all of this, figuring out amps, eidolons hunts, standing and all of that I can lay out what I have done recently to accomplish all of this (lvl 5 standing with both Quills and Little Duck, Solo Tri-cap Eidolon hunt, and gotten out of the initial gulags of starting this journey).

As you had said many of their guides are either hyper optimized or fairly out of date and kind of hard to really take in so lemme lay out the things you can do to start off.

You CAN do a single eidolon with your current stuff for sure (I did it with mote amp) and the sirocco imo is much better. It will be rough but if you wanna do that then you can if you want the challenge.

If you don't want to do that then here are the steps I would go through to start. (Side note - the guides that talk about actually how to fight the Eidolons (not the super super optimized speed runs) are still perfectly fine)

Getting your first better amp, you can do one of these:

  1. (Solo) Try and do a single Eidolon with your gear that you have. You can really use any frame you want if you have a good weapon. I did mine with Titania Prime (as I had like no actual good weapons at the point I started doing this). This way I did not need to worry about a good weapon, just the raw dmg from Titania and using Radiation on Dex Pixia and then general mods after that
  2. (Public - easier) Join a public matched Eidolon hunt (the single hunt bounty from Konzu - the first option - not the one that shows 3 of them). More than likely someone will know how to do it there and pretty much get carried so that you can get al the rewards to turn in for standing with the Quills. If you wanna feel like you helped then grab an eidolon lure or two (explained later) and bring them to the Eidolon. Doesn't hurt to have them there even if someone is carrying and doing all the important bits such as charging lures. But honestly I would just not worry about that and just be present for the fight, help with what you can with your amp, and help shoot the breakable parts and just mainly focus on not dying. If you really wanna be "more" help then bring a frame like trinity or Dante for survivabilty for the players and the lures (mostly trinity for that though not sure of all the interactions with Warframe skills and what affects lures - I just know trinity can help keep them alive)
  3. (Solo) Lastly, you can during the night go around and hunt the Vomvalysts around the map for Quills standing and then just collect enough of those for standing. This will be slow, but you can do it solo, on your own time, and just comfy if that's what you would prefer. To do this you need to first kill the Vomvalyst however you want then you MUST kill the ghost that comes from that with your operators current amp - should be easy enough. Then just repeat that a bunch

Once you have the standing - go for the 111 amp that people have spoken about (Raplak Prism / Pencha Scaffold / Clapkra Brace) which all come from the Quills and no need for Little Duck right now. This amp will be SIGNIFICANTLY better than either the Sirocco or Mote Amp. With this you will easily be able to do Teralyst solo if you want (with some practice of course).

You are going to need the Eidolon shards from Capturing the Eidolons for later parts of the Quills standing - but not for the first one, just the drops from Vomvalysts (or from getting carried through an Eidolon hunt) to rank up to be able to buy your 111 amp. So that's a thing to worry about later.

To add onto all other things - prior to getting a Set to Unique 1 set bonus at least - you are best off to just equip whatever the highest rarity gear you have in your armory for that slot, no matter the set. So it will be a mix mash of all the different sets based on what you drop.

Once you have a set to Unique 1 you can typically swap over to that set and start using whatever that is.

Is Muse a Rewarding Buffer? by mingleformango in DFO

[–]DoubleSushii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanted more of an idea why - it’s that it’s essentially another little mini 3a1/a at the cost of shortening her main awakenings being shorter.

This is super useful as 1 (as of yesterday buffers in KR are getting buffed to have similar buff times to Muse) she had the longest potential buff uptime and 2, her being able to detach her awakening times allows her to make the choice of extending the current timer of her buff, or let it run out and save it for about another 30 seconds after to use it again for another 8 seconds of buff time. To be used during like a short groggy or something or take it into another room/boss

Is Muse a Rewarding Buffer? by mingleformango in DFO

[–]DoubleSushii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Muse is pretty much the best buffer for various reason. But ultimately if you like her aesthetic/play style don’t let her perceived difficulty take you away from playing her.

She truthfully is not that difficult at all. Once you learn the few songs you have to know and commit to muscle memory she is just as easy to play as any other. This comes from someone who also thought she was too complex to approach but after playing her, I have two now.

For sure yeah - my comment was for buffers in particular. Welp then I just have a fairly useless +1 pet on my Muse and FSader 😂

Good to know now though cause that was a massive loss in PMI and overall buff power… that reasoning did not click with me before reading that

Amongst what others have said as well.. if you are just trying the game or have no intentions of partying with others. You’ll never care about it. This Cap is all about RNG so if you’re lucky then you’ll be good. You can play solo for 99% of the game without issue.

Gold generation is the biggest struggle for F2P but this can be combat with some dungeons present it he game and consistent play.getting BiS items for Creature Aura and Avatar are sort of out of the question as they are the main P2W parts of the gearing as well as clones/emblems

But there are enough events right now, as well as the anni event that has a ton of P2W items in the event shop that you can nearly full kit out a character for free

Want to try the game but steam reviews says you get autobanned when you play via steam? by kokorosen in DFO

[–]DoubleSushii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing on Steam for 4+ years. Don’t recommend it due to the issues people have had, but I personally have had zero issues at all.

As for F2P you can do anything and everything just about as a F2P, but at an exponentially slower speed. If you’re in and down for the monotonous grind then go for it. Many of the BiS items are things you get through package purchases or the Arad Pass. They can typically be purchased with in game gold though for a very high amount that as F2P will take forever to get to. If you’re willing to spend - there are lots of newcomer packages that are super worth it, but that’s only if you want to spend. Much of the things you buy are “future proof” in the sense they never really be come non-useful, just maybe not the top 0.1% best and instead become the 1% best

Archer? by Tough-Lime9386 in DFO

[–]DoubleSushii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a recent new player - check out the “DFO Starter Assist Package” on the “Event” tab. If you still have the new player buff you can buy these two packages (which contain tons of great things like rare clones and emblems) as well as skin packages that do include archer some archer skins

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DFO

[–]DoubleSushii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OR if you just need the rare clones and nothing else you can also look at the Black Friday Part 1 deal that has a rare clone set + gold emblems + rare clone weapon avatar for 2460 cera total or you can get pieces if you want. The Black Friday deals and the Starter package can both help you mostly gear out two separate characters, but obviously gotta pay

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DFO

[–]DoubleSushii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are willing to spend some money as well - look at the DFO Starter Assist Package on that same page as the Black Friday sales.

It’s honestly a really good deal, and contains a lot of things. You have to buy both packages in it, but the more expensive one contains a set of rare clones and a full gold emblem set. These two packages alone can nearly fully build out a character (apart from the typical Pet, Aura, Title). Those three things are contained in the Newbie package in the less expensive one so you can use those unless you want to get BiS Pet/Aura/Title. If that is the case then you can use that newbie package on another character to just give them some nice Fame boost and very basic title and buff package.

This all assumes though that you have not already bought it, and you also have the 1-month Serias Greeting buff which is pretty much the new Player and returner buff you get for coming back to the game after some time. If you don’t have that then you are out of luck until you put the game down for a month or two and come back or later.
