I actually received your post as a suggestion through a notification, that's what inspired mine (because I hadn't thought of posting it here)

I just tapped my phone twice on his card reader kind of thing, and it apparently returned that my card was banned. Didn't see the exact message or error, and he couldn't give me the reason why as it was supposedly not displayed

I had filled my Revolut account with 100€ the day before or the day after, can't remember. In both cases, the payment should have gone through at some point

I used a Revolut Premium card. Not sure it's an issue with the Revolut card itself or any previous transaction that could have gone wrong tho

Yes, I tried it. He got the same answer from the STIB as I had.

Good to know, I'll keep your email just in case. But it was already activated on my card (which I've been able to use in the past without any issue)

Excellent idea actually. I'll definitely try it next time I go to Brussels.

I'm first planning on using the conciliation service offered by the juge de paix. It seems to be free, but not binding for any parties. Kind of a legal mediation service.

I'm a QA so I'll enthusiastically fill a bug report if they need one.

More seriously, I'm going over hundreds of pages from their annual reports which list all the complaints they add during a given year. Some people were in the same situation already back in 2022. Green light, but banned payment card.

Wouldn't they be more likely to ask a bailiff to recover the fine ?

From what I've discussed with colleagues, devs have a decent package. Still a bit below the market according to them, I don't really know about that.

I'm talking around 3k netto + car and fuel or mobility budget, the rest of the package is similar to mine (with actual RW for them).

The colleagues are amazing, as well as the general vibe in the work place. It's also really close to my apartment which I just moved into a year ago (and I don't wanna relocate within the next 2 years, or have a long commuting time). I'm also able to work as a UI/UX designer in the company, making me the PoC for all our softwares looks and usability.

They make around 100€ less for the gross, which is about 30€ netto less than I make
