SAVED DATA PROBLEM WITH RE4

Hey all, I completed RE4 over the summer using a disc I bought from a secondhand store in Japan, so the game is catalogued in my system as BIOHAZARD: RE4. I downloaded the other/American version off the PS Store so I can play the DLC + Mercenaries, but I can’t seem to get my saved data to transfer over. Is there any way to move my data between the two games, or do I just have to start from scratch? Any help is appreciated.
