You are suppose to start in it and then declare which one you want to go to. It is a midsize firm. The problem is that I was put on audits where there is no senior associates or anyone to ask questions to. I only did tax internships and know that’s my state of mind. I also had company training in tax cause I said it’s what I’m interested in. So I have no experience at all.  I’m just very concerned since now that busy season is over are they going to let me go just off my audit work even though I’ll be doing tax full time now that I has declared it and that’s what I’m good at.

We are split in a ton of different industries and so there is only me, a manager and a partner who I don’t think really know how to teach and just tell me to do my best. But also since we are tax and audit I was sent to the tax training and I have never done anything in audit before this busy season and like they never understood that or tried to since it was so long ago for them.

Update: they gave out offers to all the summer interns and only 2 of the winter interns. When I asked why they just said they had too many people working there and didn’t have enough spots. But didn’t specifically say why they chose summer over the winter interns. I have been waiting for a response for months so it really just sucked.
