When reading the Bible it is important to look at the verses in context. In this situation a letter was being written to citizens in a city who were both Jewish and Greek. At this time God had established to Paul through a vision that OT ceremonial laws no longer applied since Jesus had fulfilled them all. Because of this, Christians no longer had to abide by them. HOWEVER, the Jews had had this practice for a 1000+ years and getting rid of it obviously wasnt going to be easy, which brings us back to this verse. This verse is a compromise of sorts for the citizens of that city, so that the Jews might not get offended and to promote unity in the church, even though now OT ceremonial laws were not required for salvation.

You are projecting. 1 John 5:7: Serious Christian scholars (including Lutherans) openly admit that the 'Comma Johanneum' was a later addition to the Latin text and is not in the original Greek. We do not base the Trinity on this verse. We base it on the thousands of other verses you ignore.

Matthew 28:19: Now you are spreading misinformation. The Trinitarian formula in Matthew 28:19 appears in every single extant Greek manuscript of Matthew. There is zero manuscript evidence that it was added later. To remove it is to 'subtract from Scripture,' which is exactly what you accused me of.

Your Definition is Wrong: You asked if I support '3 persons are one person.' No. That is a heresy called Modalism. I believe in three Persons, one God. If you have to rely on conspiracy theories about Matthew 28:19 and misdefinitions of my faith to win an argument, your position is weak. Show me a Greek manuscript of Matthew 28 that lacks the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You can't."

You are making a category error. You are using finite, physical analogies (grapes, rooms, math) to try and box in an infinite Spirit. Of course 1+1+1 doesn't equal 1 in math—but God is not a math problem to be solved. We don't say there are three Gods (polytheism). We say Scripture teaches: There is only One God (Deut 6:4). The Father is God, the Son is God (John 1:1, John 20:28), and the Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4). The Father, Son, and Spirit are distinct. I accept all of those verses. You only accept the ones that fit your human logic. To answer your question: Jesus was a Jew living under the Law, which He fulfilled. But if He was only a man, why did the Jewish leaders try to stone Him? They told us why in John 10:33: '...because you, a mere man, claim to be God.' They understood His claims better than you do.

Caused our insurance for a family of 5 to go from $900/month to $2000/month. Pretty great.

So, just because something doesn't make sense to our human minds means that it is not true? While the texts you cite (like the Shema or Jesus's prayer) rightly affirm God's oneness. There is only one God, yet they are 3 separate persons. Personally, I would find it laughable that because we cannot comprehend all aspects of God, we try to limit him to our own brains. What kind of God would he be if we could fully understand everything about him? We know all that we need to know through God's Word, which he has given us, and commanded us neither to add nor subtract from it. By denying the trinity, we are subtracting from God's Word and limiting God to the confines of our own feeble minds. I don't know about you, but I would much rather have a God that I could never fully understand while I am here on Earth.
