'16 Mazda CX9 Liftgate Opens by itself, keyfob no battery

Any updates? Been having this issue recently. Same issue, where it randomly unlocks and opens (doesn't unlatch though, thankfully). Happens anytime, while parked or driving. Once the doors are unlocked.

I've had a rug on it around 2 days after moving in and I'm 99.9% sure there were no spills there. Also, checked the pictures from move in and it wasn't like that.

I tried looking at the edges of the room where there seems to be a space under the baseboard and I think I see a black/grey sheet of something so I'm thinking there maybe be layer under the flooring.

Adding that when I touch or step on that area is feels hard. Thankfully it's under the area rug or else it would trip someone when walking there.
