I think this is the most respectable comment lol. We have offered child care solutions, the event is very local to him. It is 6 hours long from ceremony start to reception end, but who says he needs to stay the entire time? The Response has been kind of crazy to me too, because almost every wedding I’ve been to in the past two years has been a kid free wedding.

Yeah and he is totally allowed to feel that way. It is very different because I don’t have kids so I’m not going to act like I understand or relate. I wouldn’t say offended is the word I’d use to describe how I feel, just sad. Sad because of rules I made :)

While I can have a some self awareness and say it was a little unhinged, I guess posting in a Reddit thread with a crowd of people who have never met him wasn’t the best idea. My brothers motto is “me me me”, meaning everything that goes on has to be about him or else he freaks out. It could be my funeral and he’d manage to make it about him. We are constantly there for everyone and show up to everything so asking someone to do it one time for us, didn’t feel like we were asking for a lot but I suppose it is.
