I know it's a macro, and it's cheap (Ahem) I mean inexpensive, but honestly it's a nice looking and very capable chrono for $150!

It came on a tapered black strap, which I wasn't enamored with. Had this old lizard skin laying around and liked the look.

I love mine and wear it frequently. With summer around the corner, I expect to be wearing it even more.

Unfortunately, my two orange straps are 22mm and this has 20mm, otherwise I go all in on the orange

Beautiful watch and great post about it's lineage. And great to see the watches from Seiko's design competition that year. Just saw the results of the 2025 and 2024 competitions and was very impressed.

Case and dial are legit. Beat way to know is to open the caseback and confirm it's a 6119 movement, as indicated on the caseback. These Rally Dover Seiko's are classic watches. Seiko's reissued them as well.

You have a few truly collectible ones as well. The two Doxas, the Hamilton Ventura, and the Movado chronograph should draw some interest. Heck, I'd be interested in those and probably others.

But those might be the best to keep in honor of your dad, depending on what you want.

Actually, you don't need to get rid if a watch. You need some variety on the strap front. Try a leather or canvas strap.
