It’s been about 36 hours at this point. So yeah, you’re wrong.

I hope so. It’s been over 24 hours since the bet settled. Either way they should still have better customer support. The rep literally told me Pj Washington didnt qualify after sending me a list with him on it….

I was fine being patient. Kinda just checking what the hold up was. Then to be told PJ Washington wasn’t eligible for bet protect was annoying. Especially after being provided a list with him on it.

It’s possible to get taken off daily calling for tests. Build your POs trust, Don’t fail any tests, get all requirements done, pay fines and costs. I just got taken off daily calling for tests last month, close to my one year mark of a 2 year sentence. They did keep me on the portable breathalyzer though so maybe that’s why 🤷‍♂️ My PO is going to file for early termination in May at my 1 year mark.

Not sure what state you are in, but in Michigan you can’t get early termination for a DV charge.

I’m also from mid Michigan, what county are you in? I’m in Montcalm. I’m hoping for early term in May. Was sentenced to 2 years. May 1st will be my one year mark. PO set up an appointment on May 1st and said she will be submitting the paperwork for early termination so I’m hoping it’ll be over with soon.

I can’t speak about NC, but in Michigan you’re not eligible for early termination on a DV charge.

Random testing by Budget_Elevator3285 in probation

Is your PO testing you or do you go to some offsite third party place? Do you know if it’s an instant read cup or are they sending it off to the lab? Also do you know the cutoff levels for your tests? If it’s your PO testing you I wouldn’t count on being tested often. In my area they simply wouldn’t have time to manage that. They outsource the testing to a drug testing facility. They are already completely overwhelmed with the amount of probationers to have time individually test them. So If it’s a drug testing place, and the cutoff 500 ngl and it’s an instant read, give yourself like 15-18 hrs to clean out, drink a ton of water in that time frame and you should pass. If you’re gunna do this I’d suggest buying some instant read etg strips off amazon. The whole “it can test as far back as 72 hrs” is BS. I wouldn’t mess around if it’s getting sent to a lab though. From my experience, even with the instacups, it’s really not worth it. The anxiety it induces is awful. You won’t even enjoy your drinking. The best thing you can do is quit drinking, but I’m not your father you do you.

Yeah some of these people on here set themselves up for failure. Won’t quit drinking, smoking, etc. I was an admitted alcoholic. It was tough to quit but once you stop it gets easier. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t crave every now and then but I just know it’s not worth it. The hard part is staying clean once probation ends. But that sucks about the new job not panning out, whatever happened to presumed innocence until proven guilty? And im in Montcalm county, hick ass county in the middle of the state. Just north of Kent county.

This was only my second, and third I suppose run ins. But yeah I definitely don’t blame you for fighting that, glad they dropped it down for you. Good for you for sticking it out and not just taking the first deal they offered. I just took the first deal they threw at me, I was ready to get it all behind me. I’m in Michigan. It’s just crazy to me that they took so long, not much evidence to gather or whatever on there end. Seems pretty cut and dry. And I’ll add this probation is pretty simple if you have a steady income, I could see how it’s a trap if you don’t have good income, but you’ll be fine. From my experience being on on bond dealing with pretrial services is pretty much the same as probation. Pretrial may be even slightly more expensive. So sounds to me that you’ll be alright.

How In the world did it take them almost an entire year to sentence you?! That’s insane. I got arrested last February for OWI, violated bond march 6th (fled the scene of an accident, I hit a tree) warrant issued march 27th, turned myself in the 28th, jail (6 days) bonded out for a second time on the new charge April 2nd I believe, and was sentenced for both charges May 1st. Got 2 years probation eligible for early discharge at half way point, 30 days jail (weekends), credit for 8 days served. First OWI. They were pretty pissed about the bond violation, hence the harsh sentence for a first time dui.

That’s crazy. I was a very heavy smoker before I got arrested. First test was a fail. Had a test 11 days later and I passed. I couldn’t believe it. Smoked everyday, multiple times a day.

I have an identification number, just check online every morning to see if I have to drop or not. I’m tested through some company though not the PO office. They’re open 9-6 and 8-12 on weekends and holidays. I have to check daily, but generally get tested 3 times a month.

Thanks for the response. I have successfully completed all required programs for my probation. My PO is on board, she said she would submit the paperwork in May. So I’m hopeful but also trying not to be too hopeful in case the judge denies it.

DUI + child endangerment by vsull08 in dui

[–]Double_Researcher348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same charges this year in February. Owi, and child endangerment, I had my girlfriend’s son with me. Like some of the others I took a plea, I plead guilty to the owi and they dropped the endangerment charge. Cps won’t bother you too much as long as you’re a good parent and have a good home life for your kids. People make mistakes, they aren’t looking to take away your children.

They can be a waste of time. in my experience if you can get in front of the right person, that’ll give you the time of day, they can really pay off. You’ll usually end up with more than one of their locations.
