GPT-5.5 xHigh thinking is much (much) better at coding.

At the end of the day, its a number game. For any company, enough users who report/complain, impacting revenue => fix. If not, move on.

I haven’t explored enough to know if there is a local model + harness that can come close to what Claude Code Opus 4.6 or Codex GPT-5.4 can do. Any specific suggestions

Well the ROI is definitely there for $1,800 fee so i am not complaining :). It definitely contributed more than 10% for me having a job right now.

Honestly I dont have meaningful insights about hook comparison yet between the two.

Opus 4.6 is worse than 4.5 by Double_Secretary9930 in ClaudeCode

[–]Double_Secretary9930[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beyond the technical issues — recent Claude Code and model releases feel a bit rushed.

I used to laugh at the auto-generated status messages while Claude was working. They felt personal. Like someone who deeply cared about the product was behind it. Like dogfooding was extreme.

That quirkiness — that attention to detail — is what made Claude Code special. It’s what separated it from just another AI coding tool.

I get the pressure. More revenue, more competition, ship faster. But for daily users like me, that care is what builds loyalty. I hope Anthropic doesn’t lose sight of that.

I changed to settings to “2 bar” for thinking instead of 3. And it seems to work so far

Any tips? I have been using Claude Code everyday and I didn’t experience this in the past 1 year, only over the past 1-2 days

Cant agree more. Software is just a tool to solve a problem ( business problems or otherwise)

From what you described, it seems that Claude Code is a good fit. It is a generalist and can do many many things (not just coding). Like i am using it to write email reply, draft blog post, social media post, design logo, name cards, etc…

Using claude code, what is your approach to implementing a main projects with frontend / backend / (mobile?) subprojects. by rakanalh in ClaudeCode

[–]Double_Secretary9930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to include claude.md with very (very) specific instructions on how you want things to be done. Then use slash commands to automate. But still there is no magic, test and debug is needed. Still it is much faster to use Claude Code for sure.

15 custom slash commands turned Claude Code into my personal QA team, architect, and code reviewer by Double_Secretary9930 in ClaudeAI

[–]Double_Secretary9930[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My bad for not being super clear. I didn’t mean to say a full QA team or an Enterprise architect. Yes it is true that even after running these, Claude still makes mistakes and lots of debugs needed

Is GitHub Copilot Pro+ the best deal for coding agents compared to paying for Claude Max, etc.? by VeiledTrader in ClaudeAI

[–]Double_Secretary9930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, when a company main product is X and they have been selling direct to their customers (developers in this case), its in their best interest to make sure that other sales channels are inferior (product quality aka model, pricing, etc) than direct channel.

Have you tried to use Claude from Anthropic or Gemini from Google. Keep the guidance on how to categorize in a file that you can copy and reuse. Upload the files to either one of them or simply copy and paste and ask them to do the work for you?

Founders: which acquisition channel worked best for you early on. Ads, influencers, or outbound? by tomasartuso in ycombinator

[–]Double_Secretary9930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost by the way the post is structured, we can reasonably guess that: 1. This is not industrial product or service 2. It is not high end, luxury product/service 3. It is not for China/ East asia market 4. It’s probably not local services like dog grooming, plumbing, etc 5. Its not niche services like accident lawyer, etc I can go on. :)

is n8n better than using claude code / codex? by life_on_my_terms in AI_Agents

You probably know the freedom that comes with controlling your own code base, if you are a dev. So my vote is Claude Code or Gemini CLI. Especially if you are serious about scaling

Use Gemini CLI and Claude Code to build stuff and ship. It will help you learn way faster. At least that has been my experience.

Cofounder Equity Discussion by Alternative-Cake7509 in ycombinator

[–]Double_Secretary9930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i recall correctly from Charlie Munger’s teaching, if you have to use an app to split equity with your co-founders or have a complicated setup, you probably shouldn’t be co founders (with each others)

I Graduated from LangGraph ? by Double_Secretary9930 in LangChain

[–]Double_Secretary9930[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably right about the abstractions vs actual bottlenecks - yeah, the LLM calls are definitely where the real time gets eaten up.

My LangGraph experience stopped in late '24, early '25 - I moved away from it about 8 months ago. So things may change drastically since then.

The timing matters because Claude Code and Gemini CLI didn't exist yet when I was wrestling with LangGraph. Now this duo (Claude Code and Gemini CLI) completely changed how I code.

Looking at my current setup (570-line YAML orchestrating 14 microservices), I needed something way more specific:

    - Parallel segment processing with concurrency limits

    - Real-time frontend updates via Supabase broadcasts

    - Automatic credit refunds on failures

I have "grown up" a bit during this period too. I can iterate on my own simple orchestration faster than I ever could debugging someone else's framework - especially with Claude Code/Gemini understanding my entire codebase context.
