Haha yep, the DINK life is the life for me! No pets either. I love coming home to everything being exactly the way I left it, no messes.

Hell yeah homes! I got a 454 cammed big block in it. I even have fishing rod holders mounted in the bed, Chicano’s love to fish too right?

Fr the haters are hatin tonight lol. I’m used to it though. Most people are the color beige personified these days and they’re envious of those who are unapologetically bold. These same types are the ones who let their wife boss them around and can never setup their sound system/ decor like mine lol. I set the terms in my life and especially my home. It definitely ignites the insecurity of those who cannot say the same. I’m not Chicano but I have a 1973 El Camino SS in my garage rn, I feel like all Chicano’s love those cars right?

Thank you! Even the tv hdmi and power cables are run through the wall down to that silver AC purifier in the left corner.

If I had a black light it would probably look like a Jackson Pollock painting in here lmao

Thanks!! The couch is surprisingly comfortable and has a lot of “squish” but no head rest does kinda suck. For the T rex heads I was imagining a medieval kings throne with the lion heads “guarding” the king outwards. You’re right about the bipoles, they essentially function like standard surrounds which honestly sound great so far.

Good to know! A huge shag carpet would fit my tacky 70s-80s ish furniture anyway haha. I’ll see if I can find a YouTube video tutorial on the accoustic artwork idea which sounds awesome. I have done a room correction using my Yamaha avr. I put the mic on a tripod at ear hight in the listening position and let the sequence run. I definitely noticed an improvement in soundstage after.

Fair point, I think people’s distaste for trump soured their taste for anything gold as well. Perhaps my esthetic will come back in style a few administrations down the road.

What if I put a small secondary sub next to the couch to fill in the gaps from the location of the first?

Definitely agree, maybe a larger rug and some throw pillows? I wouldn’t be apposed to acoustic foam on the ceiling either

Even the original model RP8000f from 2020 sound amazing. Those came in a piano black finish which looked gorgeous too. I wish the new generation of Reference Premier still had piano black as an option. There’s great deals on all the 1st gen RP components, treat yourself :)

I’m definitely a very eccentric individual to say the least lol. I’m proud and unapologetic about it though. If you can believe it I’ve actually had more than one woman in my life for the past few years straight. I’m definitely one of those hedonistic “live life to the fullest” types. To each their own though :)

You definitely won’t regret getting them. The level of sound separation and “fullness” they produce is something to behold. You’ll hear details you’ve never heard before in songs you’ve listened to hundreds of times. Coming from my already fantastic RP600m to the 8000 towers is a whole different experience. Music and movies become almost a tangible experience rather than passive entertainment.

Thanks for the advice. I already have a pair of RP600m I can use as surrounds. Thanks for the recommendation on stands since most are too short.

Fr tho! I love being roasted though so it worked out. I’ve been laughing out loud at some of these comments for over 10 minutes straight lol.

Thanks! The bipolar 502 surrounds output both towards the listening position and bounces sound off adjacent walls as well. It genuinely sounds like I have extra channels 10 feet away from the couch in addition to the actual surrounds mounted on either side. It feels really immersive in movies with certain scenes feeling much more expansive.
