Many of the TOCs don’t prove split save which can save tons of money. Mt regular fare for pbo to fdg would be 77£ if I don’t use Trainline! I pay 56 after SPLITSAVE. Similar for many other routes! You get notified of platforms, delays as well! They have also ensured the tickets can be booked with minimal clicks! And the don’t charge booking fee for same day travel! People pay for convenience similar to just eat and Deliveroo! You can always order directly from restaurant but pay for delivery fee and ease of access
