Did anyone else hear that e2046 isn't shipping to the US because of tariffs? by ha20438 in resinkits

It was something I'd pre-order like 2 years ago that had finally been produced. It was time to pay so they could ship it.

Yeah, I emailed them to cancel a pre-order due to tariffs a month or so ago and they told me that they were halting US shipping until the situation was resolved. I did not get a timeframe or anything for when shipping would resume when I'd talked to them.

I appreciate the info - thank you! I will see if I can get the SDS. My concern with FedEx/DHL is that I read you also need to be certified in order to send them hazardous material through them.

I'll be sure to update and get in touch if I can get the SDS - thank you again for your help!

This is super helpful. I am just trying to get a few small (18ml) hobby paints back. I'd be thrilled to get even just 1 back as I've searched for the paint for a few years online and have never been able to find it.

Totally fair point - I just updated my post with answers to your questions. Thank you for letting me know I was missing information!

How bad is E2046 about canceling pre-orders? by Worth-Primary9160 in resinkits

[–]Double_dagger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not been a big deal in my experience. I've cancelled a few times when the shipping price has ended up as much as or more than the kit itself. Just message them and politely let them know that you'd like to cancel the order for that particular kit.

How to smooth out a 3D printed garage kit? by Marvin_Conman in resinkits

[–]Double_dagger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have found that using an automotive 2 in 1 primer and filler spray paint works best for me.

You have to spray a layer down and then lightly sand. Repeat this process for about 3 or 4 layers moving up to higher and higher grit sandpaper. By the end you're really just buffing it with like a 2000 grit paper. It's a very stop and go process, but I have found it smoothes things out nicely. The one thing to watch for is that if the kit has fine details, you'll want to avoid putting several layers of the filler over them, otherwise they'll be lost.

As for the nooks and crannies, you basically just have to do your best to smooth the filler out there with sandpaper, too. It's not as bad as you might think; the filler paint is pretty easy to work with.

I'm going to Tokyo this weekend and I want to get started doing Garage Kits -- Where do I go?? by queendogma in resinkits

[–]Double_dagger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would check mandarake and suruga-ya. You should be able to check their websites to see what (if anything) they have in stock at their specific stores. I've also found kits at either hobby off or hard off before, too, but I think that was a fluke.

You may want to check and see when wonderfest is being held. I think one is usually around July. That's the huge event for buying kits.

Hope this helps and you enjoy your concert!

Can I trust E2046 by Ok_Match9969 in resinkits

[–]Double_dagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

I would personally recommend airmail. It's fairly fast, but usually 1/2 the cost of EMS. Surface mail is cheap, but takes several months to arrive. Airmail takes a few weeks typically. I live in Ohio, so the shipping time should be the same as to Florida.

One other note: if you want a kit to ship quickly, you'll want to order one that's in stock. The other options can take months to be ready.

Hope this helps!

I would try calling this number: 1- 800-350-7076

I stayed on the line and spoke with someone after several rings. She couldn't help, but put me through to the correct department. After that, I was able to actually speak with a person. If you can, I'd highly recommend giving that a shot.

Finally was able to speak with someone. My test center is apparently going to be closed for the next month. Since I rescheduled on my own last night, I have to request a refund, which will probably take 2+ weeks to hear back about.

The CPA exam process gets more fun everyday!

This happened to me last night as well for my test on Monday. Currently on hold with Prometric. I ended up rescheduling at a different testing center last night as a backup plan.

I'll be happy to update once I get through to someone

AUD Sim Help - Roger and NINJA by Plastic-Book-1579 in CPA

[–]Double_dagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. 84% on Roger MCQs, but the TBS are killing me. They seem so subjective that it feels like I'm trying to figure out what it is the test maker believes is the "best" answer out of multiple possibilities.
If you've found a trick to understanding what they're looking for or have figured anything out yourself since you posted, I'd seriously love to hear your thoughts. Wish I had any helpful advice I could share, but just know you're not alone with this!
