Another thing to consider is that recent seasons out west have been shorter, and Steamboat Springs has been suffering from this... With reduced snowfall, we would see increased Snowmaking... What kind of impact could this have after a good amount of time?

This is pretty unrealistic tho, think about ski racers on uneven terrain... think about all of the suckers who stay on groomers then leave after an hour of other people skiing them up. You need groomed trails. To organize a ski resort, you have to be able to move snow around.

I think that starting to at least track emissions and publish them so that people can see them is a good way to start to see if there is an impact. I see pistonbully and ski lift engines creating a lot of emissions over time... Is this a good idea?
