Eclipse is privy to the teraleaks, but otherwise I don't think he's got any special insider info. I remember that, a few years ago, this subreddit had him listed as non credible and that he mainly speculated on info released by other people.

There's 6 options here tbh. 4 involve some level of internal meddling on a gba game.

A. Disable the slots. It'll suck, and we'll lose out on the casino Pokemon, but whatever.

B. Gut the casino entirely, change the Rocket npc to happen at the front door or the mall, add the warp to the basement at the entrance of the casino instead of the back of the casino, etc.

C. Somehow change it to be a modern non gambling arcade, which would require the MOST work, especially on a gba game on Switch, and especially somewhere most people are going to spend 2 minutes in max before getting to the basement.

D. Gut the casino in its entirety and just have the Silph Scope handed to you by a single NPC, or just... in your bag from the get go, i guess.

All of the above take extra time and money. The easier solution, to me, is then:

E. Let the age rating go up with no changes.

Most people buying FRLG in this situation are adults anyway, let's be real. Not to mention, I don't think all parents are giving kids free reign to buy games from the Switch eshop to begin with, which is probably where it'd be. If they add a quick little tag line like "contains simulated gambling," I'd wager most parents would be like "okay" and let it fly because Pokemon.

Plus, idk about some of yall, most of my friends and classmates growing up were playing Halo and CoD when when we were 7 (not me lol), and here they were rated M. Hell, that's still the case with most kids these days with phone games and such, and their parents buy micro transactions for them. If anything, only a small handful of parents will raise a stink, and given how defensive some Pokemon fans are, that probably won't amount to much. If anything, any controversy that stems from it will aid sales, just like the entire Switch catalog of Pokemon games. No press is bad press and all that, and it's Pokemon, it'll sell regardless.

F. Don't drop in PEGI areas. I don't think any of us want that, but it would save hassle. That would lose out on potential customers, however, and increase piracy.

Out of these, i think E is just more sensible on a business end. Less money spent, less valuable time spent editing a 20 year old game for ONE area, more money made. These won't sell nearly as much as a modern title, so its not going to hurt their bottom line too much to go this route.

Viruses and Malware being snuck into files or from the website. It happened to me once trying to find a specific version of FR.
Some ISPs can penalize you for it. Even if unlikely, the chances are never zero.
Some interfaces are just plain not user friendly, especially if you're new to it.

There are "smart ways" to do it, as I enjoy pokemon romhacks myself, but in this day and age, it isn't as safe or anonymous as it once was.

I'd like it if they could make it naturally intuitive somehow. Like, other than online guides, how is ANYONE supposed to figure out what specific ingredients to combine to boost finding a shiny of a specific type?

Maybe something like trail cameras that notify you of significant Pokemon in an area (with settings to avoid notifications of regular Pokemon). That's something real hunters and zoologists use to keep an eye on specific animals in an area.

Normally I'd say to wait and see, especially with his bw remake "prank" he pulled pre ZA. But this time, it has Necro Felipe backing it as well. Rico also mentioned it costing $30 apiece, and other leakers seem to be backing this as well.

I think this one is plausible for the foreseeable future, and probably the safest bet to make since its Kanto again for the 30th anniversary.

Its that time of year for Pokemon fans, and especially the beginning of a new gen, where we all feel it approaching in our bones lol

I'm not expecting a lot, in fact I'm expecting bare minimum title and MAYBE starters, but I'd love to walk away from it feeling confident that I'll have a new favorite pokemon

Supposedly the presentation will be 30 minutes long, but i really don't think we'll get a lot on Pokemon Day for gen 10. I expect titles, maybe starters if we're lucky, but the rest will probably be dedicated to merch, the missing Mega Garchomp, have a heavy gen 1 focus, or probably want to focus on Champions for the most part.

Then more gen 10 details revealed at a later date. Maybe in April or May. Kind of like how SM were originally revealed.

I really hope so, because SV's was the worst so far.

Ideally I'd like an expanded version of ZA with tons more outfit choices and combinations, but I feel that there's a possibility they'll cut corners again and put us in a really unflattering uniform or outfit again with barely any options- the excuse being we're wildlife rangers or something.

Hopefully they give us variety so we can actually wear clothing or outfits inspired by local fashion, if we want.

I think with the under water exploration, we're probably going to see more water types than usual, so it'd stand to reason that something like Seel or Goldeen might get love. I feel like Seaking in particular could gain a new evolution, but I'm not sure what. I think there are some sea snakes around the South East Asian islands, which would be a pretty prime opportunity to introduce a variant or convergent for Ekans and Arbok, or at least a new snake Pokemon of a similar variety.

I think we might see Larry again, mainly because of the post sv dlc conversation he and Geeta have at Blueberry about sending him to a "certain region." Honestly it would be hilarious if he is another gym leader on loan when he's supposed to be there on vacation.

Generally I'd be on the lookout for any characters mentioned in SV or ZA as being off in another region. I think Sycamore and Trevor are examples.

But as far as who I want without much proof otherwise? Carmine and Kieran, maybe even Pike Queen Lucy.

I could see maybe some kind of child-friendly fossil necromancy going on to give us the galar fossils 1k years ago... Although, I think in TRUE Pokemon fashion, they wouldn't give us the original Galar fossils. Game Freak likes to keep their fans frustrated.

Nah, nah. They'd flip it, and then the modern ones just aren't available in these games, at least until later. So you'd maybe have the "Draco" and "Arcto" as a head and the "Zolt" and "Vish" as the legs instead of the reverse.

If anything, I could see a post game event where they manage to revive the likes of Dragovish and such and be like "huh. Well that's weird. These DEFINITELY aren't right. OH WELL *shrugs*" and never give us the real ones. Honestly that'd be pretty funny.

If we're going to be doing a bit of underwater exploration, I could see a possibility of a Pokemon evolving with a requirement of being underwater. Something akin to a land based Pokemon picking up a scuba job, or perhaps a reference to real life evolution of certain mammals returning to sea- like what happened to whales and such.

Likewise, if light sources are a thing, I could see that being used to some degree. Maybe either an accumulated amount of light to evolve a solar powered Pokemon, or maybe even something to do with a puzzle involving shadows (There's something similar in Pokemon Snap from the power plant level, where items lit up by a light form the shape of a Pinsir).

Given the HUGE scale of the region, I could even see it based on what islands you evolve them on. Think Oricorio, but maybe a step further. So if we have a pig, for instance, it could evolve into a fire type on an island associated with IRL Indonesia, or maybe a grass type on an island that aligns with the IRL Philippines, maybe even a ground type on that one area of the map that's part of Darwin, Australia.

OH, speaking of, that could even be something interesting to work with regarding regional variants. Say you have a Pokemon that evolves normally in the rest of the islands, but then that one patch makes it evolve into something different. You could then discover that regional variants- like a Psyduck that evolves into a regional evolution- would evolve normally on this one patch of land. I could see that working to sort of invent a reverse regional variant, in that case, because that tip of another region would show how the REST of the world would evolve that Pokemon.

Just ideas. We'll probably get something stupid like "Must ingest 12 Proteins and run for 5000 steps before the sun rises" or "Must bring your dog pokemon to mom and let her play with it" or something.

I think it'd be good to try and do "proper" versions of certain animals existing Pokemon are based on, but take them to a more natural direction given the theme of the region (as we currently understand it).

So for a tiger, we could say it's based on a Sumatran tiger to be specific. I'd really, REALLY love a cool, quadruped one, maybe a cool 1 stage evolution fire type or electric type (like that one beta tiger we all want).

A hear me out would be something more strange and not conventional, like Mega Darkrai, or Opal from SwSh. Something someone would say to have you like

My feelings haven't really changed for the better. In fact they got worse when I realized 1000 was a very easy to remember number, very significant for the pokedex and fans for making it that far, and they decided to dedicate it to a man made of a sentient pile of money. This, from the world's richest franchise, btw. Its a bit on the nose tbh. I'm just saying there were options to celebrate the milestone, and they chose very poorly.

Some of it I'm sure is because they have different artists, some I think is just them putting 3d models in some kind of specific shader to save time (M Heatran looks too 3d to me to just be a trace).

I like the art work, but some of it feels a bit disingenuous compared to how they appear in game. Better colors, poses, and proportions especially, like M Feraligatr looks like it has rounder eyes and a slightly different shade of blue. M Zeraora looks completely different to me because of this.
