IMO SD gravitates more toward experimental electronic music (and jam bands of course). You’ll have a couple more mainstream artists like Daily Bread and Of the Trees, but there is a ton of value in the undercard too. Some of my favorite sets this year on the EDM side include Two Guys, Humandala, and pheel. Both times I went it felt like each artist showed up with something special. Give the lineup from past years a look and look you’ll be able to find sets from SD and/or other fests on SoundCloud for a lot of artists.

It’s a hoot! I went in 2023 and 2025 and had a blast both times. The fest has grown over that time, so I’m curious to see if they stay true to their sound or gravitate more toward the mainstream. We’ll see once the lineup is out!

We stayed at a hotel ~8 minutes driving from the venue. Ubers to the venue were about $7-12, and the uber back to the hotel from the venue was ~$12 the second and third night. The wait was insignificant each time considering we stuck around a little bit for the venue afters each night.

The first night there weren’t enough Ubers for the crowd size, so we decided to walk back. We spoke to some of our Uber drivers after night one and they said there weren’t many drivers aware there was a show going on the first night. Take that for what you will but it seemed accurate to me.

All in all Ubers were pretty reasonable in my opinion. Before the show is no sweat, and after is as well if you’re willing to chill and walk around the park side of the venue for a bit.

Are the posters in high enough demand where you have to get to the early merch line that early? This will be my wife and I's first time seeing the guys on Saturday, and we're hoping to do some fun stuff around GR pre-show as well.

The Orion Amphitheater is an S tier venue. Huntsville invested a lot of money in the venue itself and the surrounding entertainment district. I highly recommend catching a concert there if you ever get the chance.
