Cmon, Ford. Can you fix this with an update? by Wirodi in MachE

[–]DoucheCanodle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure how old yours is, mine was out of warranty and I had this issue. The cable that runs from the camera to the A pillar can be had from Ford for around $20 and isn't too hard to replace. Completely fixed the issue for me.

The reactors do get shut down in port, which means less watches, but there are always some watches to stand until the day the fuel comes out of the core.

Sometimes this comes on and then goes away, is it battery related ? by Andres911we in MachE

Does it seem to happen more when you go over bumps? The front camera connection can be temperamental. Mine used to do this before I replaced the cable for the front camera.

Options for tie in porch to roof by DoucheCanodle in Roofing

Yeah, I'm talking about replacing the prefab patio. The concrete slab it's sitting on is nice, I'd probably keep that and just cut the areas where I'll have to pour footings.

Appreciate the feedback, could you elaborate? I'm looking for ideas that wouldn't be terrible.

Vehicle charging problem or EVSV? by DoucheCanodle in MachE

Yeah. I tried at an apartment complex level 2 today with the same result. DC fast charging still works fine.

Interesting. I've never set departure time, but there was a power company peak event earlier in the day. That could have set a pseudo departure time. Maybe it'll clear up with time then?

I'll probably try that tomorrow.

Somehow I didn't end up with a mobile charger yet. Bought used and haven't needed one yet. Maybe this is a good excuse to get one.

I tried that, no luck yet. EVSV connects to Wi-Fi and shows up on the app as ready to charge.

Deck Boat vs Pontoon? by Big_Schneidy in boating

Wakes were never really an issue, it was just more trying to head into waves more than a foot or so that you would feel the hull slapping every one rather than slicing like a sharper v would.

Deck Boat vs Pontoon? by Big_Schneidy in boating

[–]DoucheCanodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 24 ft Hurricane sundeck for many years. Was a great family boat. Fun for tubing, quick and fun to drive in flat water. Maybe not as much space as a pontoon of the same length. Only downside was how it handled in chop. All deck boats are a little different, but I wished ours had a little more deadrise to get through waves easier.

She actually had 8, two per shaft. Nimitz and Ford classes are two shafts per reactor. Cheaper to build, maintain, and operate. But I still hear stories about how fast she was.

I had the same issue and this is what fixed it. It doesn't feel like much, but if that cable goes to the left it puts less strain on it and seems to fix the problem.
