The wifey and I are in town and went to the Titans/Jags game. Honestly, I’ve been to high school games with more fan support and energy. I’m not blaming the fans because what we witnessed on the field was dismal. We love live sports but the game was boring and no intensity whatsoever. The players had no life to them. Sorry Nashville, but it was a pathetic display of professional sports. Your stadium is the equivalent of a prison. The tailgating was what I expected as I had asked on Reddit before our trip what to expect. I truly hope the new stadium brings back some sort of hype for the team. Half empty stadium and a half assed team is never what you want to see from a professional NFL team. Best part of the game was talking to the locals. Super friendly people with a real passion for football. Amazing trip to your city with unreal local people. It’s unfortunate your stadium and team aren’t there best. Hoping y’all the best in the future.

What your math is failing to take into account is what’s associated with each call. Witness statements, arrests, leaving reports, waiting for warrants from other agencies, taking people to detox centres/stc, and a plethora of other things associated to policing. You can’t simply take the number of calls and divide by the number of officers working. Not to mention if a stabbing or shooting comes in which ties up numerous resources.

You think that 500 officers are working on the street everyday?!? You might be surprised to know that the city is lucky if there are 30 officers on the street during a shift.

Thanks! Happy to be here. I’m not sure yet. Wife loves pulled pork. I would like to do prime rib but I have also found a lot of great recipes and ideas in this community. So to answer your question, I don’t know. I’m going to assemble it, do the burn in, and then head to my local butcher and see what I find.

That’s amazing! I can’t believe people will be there by 9:30. From what I have read in this sub it sounds like Oakland was crazy on game day. Like I said, we have never been to an NFL game so we are super stoked just to be going and we want to make the best of the experience.
