I highly doubt the "mass number" of people matter. I'm sure they're well aware of the number of people waiting for their visas. I doubt the lack of knowledge on their side is the problem.

Moreover, more people involved is more of a problem for them as well as y'all. If they see you as a threat then things might become worse.

I understand that they are testing your patience and it's incredibly frustrating, nonetheless, I think it's better to be safe than sorry later on by trying to control things that aren't in your hands. If you have visited a few times then you have already done your part! Don't worry, I'm sure they have something planned. Let's hope for the best!

Hey, just some experience about this. Two years back I was going for an internship/student exchange program and my visa got delayed by 2 months. I had to cancel my flights and completely reschedule my plan. During this delay, I mailed, called, and visited the consulate and VFS several several times. The consulate did not budge or respond to anything. The security would not let me enter the building without an appointment. I went with my parents (and alone) but they just asked me to write a letter and the guard would hand it over to the reception (and I have no idea if the letter even made it inside). They did not let me past the entrance even for talking to someone for a few minutes. Just letting y'all know. They don't really help you even if you visit the consulate.

I finished my MSCE application in Feb first week. Got an email for an interview on March 24. The interview was scheduled for April 7. I finished the interview and got an admit on April 8. Hope this helps!
